We report the case of an immunocompetent 65-year-old man affected by cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) with lung and biatrial metastatic localisation. In May 2018, the patient underwent lower limb amputation due to the finding of a large ulceration which upon biopsy was found to be a poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), ulcerated, full-thickness infiltrating from the skin to the underlying bone tissue. After 1 month, a radiological restaging found multiple pulmonary localisations and a right-atrial metastatic localisation.

Cancer cell heterogeneity and primary or acquired resistance mechanisms cause the elusive behaviour of this cancer and new biomarkers and active drugs are urgently needed to overcome these limitations. p65BTK, a novel isoform of the Bruton Tyrosine Kinase may represent a new actionable target in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Using slow and linear gradients of acetonitrile, these fractions were further purified by RP-HPLC, analyzed by automatic Edman degradation, digested with trypsin and analyzed by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. In all fractions, partial processing of the N-terminal Met residue was observed.

A pH dependence in the adsorption-elution behavior was found. The capacity of celite (Hyflo Super Cei) for adsorbing r-HBsAg increased with decreasing pH.
