There has been a recent significant increase in medical cannabis prescribing in Australia despite weak evidence for its effectiveness in treating the most common indications. Concern has been raised about the potential harms of inappropriate prescription of cannabis; however, there have been no prior published cases of psychosis secondary to medicinal cannabis in Australia. We present a case of a 21-year-old Indigenous male with psychosis following switching from illicitly obtained cannabis to prescription cannabis, which resulted in Othello delusions towards his partner, violence towards her and ultimately an attempt to end his life.

The Victorian government's Alcohol and other drugs (AOD) workforce policy calls for greater recruitment of alcohol and other drugs nurse practitioners (AODNPs). However, frontline organisations in Victoria report several systemic barriers to their recruitment and retention. Additionally, there is scant Australian literature that examines the experiences of AODNP in opioid agonist treatment (OAT) provision in regional/rural areas.

Objective: Managing the gap between the dressing and the wound bed can facilitate the healing of exuding wounds. A silicone foam dressing (Biatain Silicone; Coloplast A/S, Denmark) was developed for application to exuding wounds. A sub-analysis of the real-world, prospective, observational VIPES (Observatoire en Ville des Plaies ExSudatives) study was conducted to investigate the use and performance of the silicone foam dressing in a community nursing setting in France.
