Objective: To determine the effect of intraoperative music on various markers of anxiety among adult patients undergoing small incision cataract surgery.

Methods: This was a hospital-based, age-sex matched, comparative cross-sectional study of consenting 144 adult participants aged 46 years and above with operable, age-related cataracts undergoing small incision cataract surgery under local anaesthesia in two ophthalmic centres. All participants were allotted into two equal groups consisting of 72 participants in the experimental group (exposed to music of their choice) and 72 participants in the control group (no music exposure).

Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective study of orbito-ocular malignancies seen at the Departments of Radiotherapy and Ophthalmology, Lagos University Teaching Hospital from 1997 to 2011. Case files and treatment cards were retrieved through the Medical Records department and the information required was extracted with the aid of a data extraction form.

This study evaluates the relationship between industrial development, urbanization and pollution emission in Africa. The IPAT identity was used to examine the impact of industrial development and urbanization on pollution emissions. The validity of the existence of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) and the Pollution Haven Hypothesis (PHH) was also tested by comparing the econometric results of panel Pool Mean Group (PMG)-based autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) for the period 1990-2019.

Objective: To determine the prevalence of presbyopia, near vision spectacle use, and near vision spectacle coverage among cosmetologists in Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State with the view of creating awareness, improving productivity and quality of life.
