Background: I-metaiodobenzylguanidine ( I-mIBG) effectiveness in children with metastasised neuroblastoma (NB) is linked to the effective dose absorbed by the target; a target of 4 Gy whole-body dose threshold has been proposed. Achieving this dose often requires administering I-mIBG twice back-to-back, which may cause haematological toxicity. In this study, we tried identifying the factors predicting the achievement of 4 Gy whole-body dose with a single radiopharmaceutical administration.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the hemodynamic effects of target-controlled infusion (TCI) of propofol alone or in combination with a constant-rate infusion (CRI) of remifentanil. Six adult dogs were given 2 treatments in a randomized crossover study with a 7-day interval between treatments. Treatment 1 was propofol (P) and treatment 2 was propofol and remifentanil (P-Rem), without any premedication.

Purpose: The aim of this work is to present an updated implementation of total skin electron therapy (TSET) using IAEA TRS-398 code of practice for absolute dosimetry and taking advantage of the use of radiochromic films. The optimization of quality control tests is also included.

Methods: A Varian 2100 C/D linear accelerator equipped with the special procedure HDTSe- (high dose rate total skin electron mode, E=6 MeV) was employed to perform TSET irradiations using the modified Stanford technique.
