Purpose Of Review: Compared with high-income countries, healthcare disparities and inequities are more evident in low, lower-middle, and upper-middle-income countries with poorer housing and nutrition conditions. At least 20% of Latin America and the Caribbean are low and lower-middle-income countries. Despite the majority of the other countries being upper-middle income, the United Nations Children's Fund had classified all the regions as "less developed," with limited access to health care for the most vulnerable, the children.
