Uptake of acetaldehyde-modified (ethylated) low-density lipoproteins by mouse peritoneal macrophages.

The uptake of acetaldehyde-modified (ethylated) low-density lipoproteins (LDLs) by murine peritoneal macrophages is described and compared with the uptake of acetylated LDLs. The fluorescent marker DiI was used. No competition between ethylated and acetylated LDLs was observed.
