This study reported a case of an arachnoid cyst of the sphenoid bone causing orbital signs and symptoms in a 58-year-old man with progressive proptosis and nonspecific discomfort in the OS. Orbital MRI showed a 3-cm homogeneous cyst within the left greater wing of the sphenoid bone. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of an intradiploic arachnoid cyst in the sphenoid bone with atypical radiological features, causing clinical symptoms, and managed through an eyelid approach, achieving a complete resolution with no complications.

Background: Cocaine is the most common illicit stimulant drug used in Europe, and it can potentially affect the central nervous system due to a direct effect, or by means of additive drugs. Levamisole has been increasingly used as an additive drug since it extends the stimulating effects of cocaine. This has led to an increase in the detection of levamisole adverse reactions, including levamisole-induced multifocal inflammatory leukoencephalopathy (MIL), a potentially lethal monophasic cerebral demyelinating disease.

The literature gives many ways to prepare for surgery, but only a few suggests that pre-operative use of rifaximin provides benefits in the form of fewer perioperative complications and reduces the severity of pain during this period. O bjective: The presented project is a retrospective analysis of the effectiveness of rifaximin in the prevention of perioperative complications in patients treated in the Unit of General Surgery with the Orthopedic and Urology in the Hospital of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Lublin, and a review of international literature in this subject.

Th17 cells are a newly identified population of CD4+ Th cells characterized by interleukin 17 production and are therefore named "Th17". Interleukin 17 (IL-17; IL-17A) is one of the key cytokines for the activation, recruitment, and migration of neutrophils, so Th17 cells have been suggested to play an important role in responses against extracellular bacteria and fungi, in which granulocyte infiltration is highly protective. Among the other cytokines secreted by Th17 cells are IL-22, IL-26, IL-6, and TNF-a.
