Background: Statistics shows that almost half of Polish extraction in underground mines takes place at workstations where temperature exceeds 28°C. The number of employees working in such conditions is gradually increasing, therefore, the problem of safety and health protection is still growing.
Material And Methods: In the present study we assessed the heat load of employees at different workstations in the mining industry, taking into account current thermal conditions and work costs.
Background: To ensure the most efficient workplace health promotion it is essential to identify and monitor health conditions of employees and all components of the work process, as well as to recognize their cause-effect relationships. Community nurses form an occupational group with a specific type of workplace that is usually located in the patient's place of residence and thus not inspected in terms of safety and hygiene. Material And Methods: The observation of work process and the Ovako Working posture Analysing System (OWAS) method for analyzing and evaluating work postures were used as major tools of this survey. Altogether 170 observations of work process were made and also seven basic work activities and 101,320 work postures were selected.
Background: The aims of the survey was to analyze the musculoskeletal system load during work performed by nurse anesthetists and to identify activities involving poor work postures along with their causes.
Material And Methods: The observation process and the Ovako Working Posture Analysing System (OWAS) method were used as major tools of this survey. Altogether 57 observations of work process were made and 31 210 work postures were identified.
Background: The aim of the study was to analyze lighting conditions occurring in operating rooms and determine their influence on feelings perceived by the operating room nurses.
