As people spend more and more time inside, the quality of indoor air becomes crucial matter. This study explores the germicidal potential of two dark-operating germicidal composite materials designed to be applied for the indoor air disinfection under flow conditions. The first material, MnO2/AlPO4/γ-Al2O3 beads, is a donor-acceptor interactive composite capable of creating hydroxyl radicals HO∙.

Examples of the application of these sorbents in the separation of various mixtures of peptides and proteins and purification of nucleic acids from various sources (plasmid DNA and DNA from nucleated human blood cells) using the cartridge, column, and batch (sorption in a stirred volume) methods are presented. It was shown that the sorbents can be used in laboratory practice because they are selective to nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and proteins.

Side effects of ventax are outlined.

The protein fractions precipitated by ammonium sulfate from the bovine, human and Greenland's seal blood sera enhanced the pain sensitivity of mice, rats and rabbits. The proteins fraction of the seal blood serum was divided in six subfractions by ion-exchange chromatography. One of these subfractions clearly showed hyperalgesic properties, while the others had an opposite effect.

When combined with morphine, the fraction lowered completely its narcotic analgetic action in the above mentioned tests. On the contrary, these same proteins combined with promedol or fentanil enhanced and prolonged analgetic effect of the latter.

The antimicrobial activity of these compounds and their effect on membranes has been correlated with their cation-complexing ability. The complexing reaction has been studied by spectropolarimetric and conductimetric methods.
