In this work, a solid-state method for the synthesis of perovskite La(FeCuMnMgTi)O high-entropy oxide (HEO) nanoparticles is detailed. Additionally, the high performance of these nanoparticles as catalysts in the aerobic and solvent-free oxidation of benzyl alcohol is demonstrated. The structural features of HEO nanoparticles are studied by X-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.

In this work, La(FeCuMnMgTi)O HEO nanoparticles with a perovskite-type structure are synthesized and used in the electrocatalytic CO reduction reaction (CORR). The catalyst demonstrates high performance as an electrocatalyst for the CORR, with a Faradaic efficiency (FE) of 92.5% at a current density of 21.

In this present investigation, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose grafted with Fumaric acid/Acrylamide (CMC/FA/AAm=CFA) hydrogel and their silver nanocomposite hydrogels (CFA-Ag , x = 5, 10 and 20) were developed by simple, cost effective and ecofriendly greener method. Mint leaf extract was used as an efficient natural reducing agent due to presence of active and antioxidant potential of polyphenol and flavonoid components. Swelling equilibrium of CFA hydrogel showed S% 3000 both in pH medium and distilled water.

Background: Oral treatment of glucosamine (GA) combined with chondroitin sulfate (CS) was reportedly effective for pain relief and function improvement in osteoarthritis patients with moderate to severe knee pain in clinical trials. While the effectiveness of GA and CS on both clinical and radiological findings has been demonstrated, only a few high-quality trials exist. Therefore, controversy regarding their effectiveness in real-world clinical practice remains.

This paper studies the microstructure, composition and properties of a AlCoCrFeNiV high entropy alloy coating (HEAC) deposited by laser cladding on austenitic-grade stainless steel. Laser cladding was carried out in an argon atmosphere on a FL-Clad-R-4 laser metal deposition complex with the following parameters: the laser power was 1400 W, the spot diameter was 3 mm, the track displacement was 1.2 mm, and the scanning speed was set to 10 mm/s.

In this work, a new two-stage approach to the deposition of high-entropy alloy coatings is proposed. At the first stage, a composite precursor coating is formed by detonation spraying of the metal powder mixtures. At the second stage, the precursor coating is re-melted by a laser, and the formation of multi-component solid solution phases can be expected upon solidification.

Multisubstituted barium ferrites with a magnetoplumbite structure were obtained by the method of solid-phase reactions with ferritization and pre-firing. Three-charged, mainly diamagnetic cations Al, Cr, Ga, and In were chosen as substituents for the Fe iron cations, the proportion of which in solid solutions did not exceed 50%. The values of the configurational mixing entropy were calculated for all the compositions.

Three high-entropy Sm(Eu,Gd)CrMnFeCoNiO perovskite solid solutions were synthesized using the usual ceramic technology. The XRD investigation at room temperature established a single-phase perovskite product. The Rietveld refinement with the FullProf computer program in the frame of the orthorhombic Pnma (No 62) space group was realized.

Over the past few years, interest in high-entropic alloys (HEAs) has been growing. A large body of research has been undertaken to study aspects such as the microstructure features of HEAs of various compositions, the effect of the content of certain elements on the mechanical properties of HEAs, and, of course, special properties such as heat resistance, corrosion resistance, resistance to irradiation with high-energy particles, magnetic properties, etc. However, few works have presented results accumulated over several years, which can complicate the choice of directions for further research.

One of the methods of local improvement of the wear resistance of aluminum alloy parts is the deposition of hard tungsten carbide-based coatings on the surfaces subjected to intense external influence. This paper is devoted to the characterization of the WC-10Co-4Cr (wt.%) coating deposited on an Al-4Cu-1Mg (wt.

The possibility of the formation of high entropy single-phase perovskites using solid-state sintering was investigated. The BaO-SrO-CaO-MgO-PbO-TiO, BaO-SrO-CaO-MgO-PbO-FeO and NaO-KO-CaO-LaO-CeO-TiO oxide systems were investigated. The optimal synthesis temperature is found between 1150 and 1400 °C, at which the microcrystalline single phase with perovskite structure was produced.

The influence of laser power on the microstructural, strength, and tribological characteristics of aluminum bronze coatings applied to steel by laser cladding was studied. It was found that with an increase in laser power, the morphology of the coating surface becomes more uniform without extreme height differences. This study revealed that the coating microstructure corresponds to that of a composite material and consists of a bronze matrix and iron dendrites of different sizes (depending on the laser power).

Titanium alloy product manufacturing is traditionally considered to be a rather difficult task. Additive manufacturing technologies, which have recently become quite widespread, can ensure the manufacture of titanium alloys products of an arbitrary geometrical shape. During this study, we have developed a methodology for manufacturing titanium alloys products using additive technologies on FL-Clad-R-4 complex of laser melting of metals by combined Selective Laser Melting (SLM) and Direct Metal Deposition (DMD) methods.

Crystalline high-entropy single-phase products with a magnetoplumbite structure with grains in the μm range were obtained using solid-state sintering. The synthesis temperature was up to 1400 °C. The morphology, chemical composition, crystal structure, magnetic, and electrodynamic properties were studied and compared with pure barium hexaferrite BaFeO matrix.

Barium hexaferrite powder samples with grains in the μm-range were obtained from solid-state sintering, and crystals with sizes up to 5 mm grown from PbO, Na₂CO₃, and BaB₂O₄ fluxes, respectively. Carbonate and borate fluxes provide the largest and structurally best crystals at significantly lower growth temperatures of 1533 K compared to flux-free synthesis (1623 K). The maximum synthesis temperature can be further reduced by the application of PbO-containing fluxes (down to 1223 K upon use of 80 at % PbO), however, Pb-substituted crystals BaPbFeO with Pb contents in the range of 0.
