Background & Aims: The incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is increasing internationally, particularly in nations with historically low rates. Previous reports of the epidemiology of pediatric-onset IBD identified a paucity of data. We systematically reviewed the global trends in incidence and prevalence of IBD diagnosed in individuals <21 years old over the first 2 decades of the 21st century.

Time to treatment and hospital visits for patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer in a single payer system.

Background And Objectives: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) requires coordination of various services to ensure timely and accurate delivery of care. This can result in multiple hospital visits and extend time to treatment (TTT). The primary purpose of our study was to evaluate time to NAC for patients at a regional cancer centre.

Young Women with Breast Cancer: Chemotherapy or Surgery First? An Evaluation of Time to Treatment for Invasive Breast Cancer.

Background: Breast cancer in young women (ages 18-40 years) is rare, yet remains a leading cause of cancer-related death. Time to treatment (TTT) is an increasingly important factor in breast cancer outcomes, specifically time to systemic therapy.
