Bisphenol analogues have been shown to have similar estrogenic activity to that of BPA and may affect fetal development. However, no human studies have examined the effects of perinatal exposure to emerging bisphenol alternatives [bisphenol G, bisphenol M, and bisphenol BP (BPBP)] on small for gestational age (SGA) and how placental function may mediate the relationship. Here, 13 urinary bisphenol analogues were detected in 1054 contemporary pregnant women, and BPA was still the most dominant congener.

A toolkit for academic libraries to create interdisciplinary interest in the Researcher Workbench across campus communities.

As part of the Data Training and Engagement for Academic Libraries Program, a toolkit was created to provide resources for academic librarians to increase library visibility and research capacity. The toolkit, created from program documents, is intended to simplify library worker's task of bringing the Research Program to academic institutions to enhance the academic library's research capacity for biomedical and public health data and is intended for wide use. The impact of the toolkit was seen during the 2024 Medical Library Association Annual Conference.

Incorporating Circulating Tumor DNA Testing Into Clinical Trials: A Position Paper by the National Cancer Institute GI Oncology Circulating Tumor DNA Working Group.

Purpose: Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is an emerging tool in the evaluation of GI cancers. Challenges remain in defining its utility and role as a primary end point in therapeutic trials. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) ctDNA GI working group was created to evaluate current data and provide guidance on the inclusion of ctDNA in GI cancer trials.

Assessment practices for dietetic students: An updated systematic review (2017-2024).

Aim: Evaluate assessment practices and outcomes for dietetic students and compare findings with those from a previous systematic review.

Methods: A systematic review was conducted whereby four databases (MEDLINE, Embase, Cumulative Index in Nursing and Allied Health Literature, and Education Resources Information Centre) were searched on 11 October 2023 with terms related to dietetics, students, and assessment. The search was repeated on 8 January 2025 to identify new publications.

This study evaluates alternative shielding materials to lead for protecting the scalp and nails during total skin electron irradiation. Using earth observation to develop a health index for peatlands.

Globally peatlands are laterally extensive and represent important stores and sinks of atmospheric carbon. The cold humid island hypothesis proposes that damaged peatlands can be distinguished from functioning peatlands by their relatively dark, bare, dry soils with resulting relatively high daytime and low night-time land surface temperatures. Contrasts in bare soil, vegetation cover and land surface temperature can be readily observed by satellite and so we propose that Earth observation, and the cold humid island hypothesis, can be used to survey, manage and monitor peatlands.
