Outlining the therapeutic itineraries of children with disabilities in the professional health care subsystem.

Objectives: to identify the outlining of therapeutic itineraries of families of children with disabilities in the professional health care subsystem.

Methods: qualitative research carried out in two specialized services in the state of Ceará, with 41 family members interviewed using the life path technique and reports submitted to descending hierarchical classification and similitude analysis, with the help of the IRaMuTeQ software and the theoretical framework of health care systems.

Results: the classes described the families' itineraries in five paths, related to faith, support structures, medical behaviors, professionals, and health services.

How is Violence Themed in Nursing Education? Curricular Components in Northeastern Brazil.

It aims to identify how the phenomenon of violence is themed in the curricular components of undergraduate nursing courses of public and private higher education institutions in Northeastern of Brazil.This is a descriptive and exploratory study, with documentary design and qualitative approach, based on the identification of the terms violence/aggression/abuse/aggressive/abusive in discipline menus available online from higher education institutions in northeastern Brazil. The data were organized and processed by the IraMuTeQ software and analyzed in the light of the relevant literature.

Social representations on diabetic foot: contributions to PHC in the Brazilian Northeast.

This study aimed to identify the structuring elements guiding the establishment of the social representations of diabetic foot among people with diabetes mellitus. This qualitative study is based on the Social Representations Theory and was conducted in a capital of the Brazilian Northeast. The free word association test and a roadmap were used to characterize the sociodemographic and clinical profile to collect data.

Vitamin D in Term Newborns: Relation with Maternal Concentrations and Birth Weight.

Objective: To evaluate vitamin D serum levels of term newborns and relate them to maternal concentrations and birth weight.

Methods: Cross-sectional study carried out with 225 mothers and their term newborns. Data collected were maternal health, prenatal care, gestational, and anthropometric data of the newborns.

Representations of resident professionals regarding the pedagogical strategies used in the multiprofessional residency training process.

Objective: To evaluate the social representations of residents regarding the pedagogical strategies of a Multiprofessional Health Residency program.

Method: A case study with a qualitative approach supported by the Theory of Social Representations. Data collection was performed by applying a questionnaire to the resident professionals.

[Competency to provide cross-cultural nursing care for people with disability: a self-assessment instrument].

This study addresses the Cross-Cultural Nursing Theory, which develops foundations for care delivery, as the essence of nursing work, based on anthropology, which supports and explains culture and care aspects. This reflexive study was based on the Theory Analysis method to study the concepts aimed at constructing a Self-Assessment Instrument of Competencies for Cross-Cultural Care to Disabled People. After analyzing the main concepts, Culturally Competent Care and Cultural Communication, were analyzed, as well as the sub-concepts: assessment, values, bio-cultural diversity, skill, knowledge, identity, code and cultural empathy.

[Pesticide exposure and its repercussion in the health of sanitary agents in the State of Ceará, Brazil].

Sanitary agents are the most exposed ones to the effects of insecticides in eradication campaigns since its preparation until its application inside and outside houses. The lack of protection equipment and misinformation on how to use the material properly increase the risk of intoxication. The aim of this work was to analyze the occupational history of vector control sanitary agents in Ceará State, Brazil and its effects on their health.
