In the rapidly evolving urban advanced mobility (UAM) sphere, Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) are crucial for robust communication and operational efficiency in future urban environments. This paper quantifies VANETs to improve their reliability and availability, essential for integrating UAM into urban infrastructures. It proposes a novel Stochastic Petri Nets (SPN) method for evaluating VANET-based Vehicle Communication and Control (VCC) architectures, crucial given the dynamic demands of UAM.

In this study, we investigate the interplay between SOC and ferromagnetism in heterostructures of large-SOC and magnetic materials. We highlight the importance of the SOC-proximity effect on magnetic ordering in all-van der Waals-layered heterostructures, specifically FeGeTe(FGT)/monolayer WVSe ( = 0 and 0.

Text document clustering is one of the data mining techniques used in many real-world applications such as information retrieval from IoT Sensors data, duplicate content detection, and document organization. Swarm intelligence (SI) algorithms are suitable for solving complex text document clustering problems compared to traditional clustering algorithms. The previous studies show that in SI algorithms, particle swarm optimization (PSO) provides an effective solution to text document clustering problems.

Methods: This study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design to examine differences in learning outcomes between an experimental group that learned through the mobile application and a control group that learned with handouts. The Infection Prevention and Control Mobile Application (IPC App) and handouts were developed by referring to the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) guidelines for Infection Prevention and Control in Dental Settings.
Proximity effect, which is the coupling between distinct order parameters across interfaces of heterostructures, has attracted immense interest owing to the customizable multifunctionalities of diverse 3D materials. This facilitates various physical phenomena, such as spin order, charge transfer, spin torque, spin density wave, spin current, skyrmions, and Majorana fermions. These exotic physics play important roles for future spintronic applications.

TTIP was evaluated after exposure to thermal stress in an enclosed container. The vapor pressure results provide reasonable evidence that impurities are generated by the decomposition of TTIP under thermal stress.

Europe experienced recent safety issues involving 5ARI and depression symptoms, with similar findings being seen in Western countries. The South Korea has updated the drug label in accordance with European recommendations, but the relevant evidence was insufficient.

With a strong economic appeal, cloud computing makes possible the idea of computing as a utility, in which computing resources can be consumed and paid for with the same convenience as electricity. One of the main characteristics of cloud as a service is elasticity supported by auto-scaling capabilities.

Methods: We conducted a nested case-control study using data from the National Health Insurance Service collected from 2013 to 2017 in Korea.
Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors are antidiabetic drugs with associated safety concerns regarding the risk of genital and urinary tract infections. This study assessed the risk of genital and urinary tract infections associated with prescription of SGLT-2 inhibitors as an add-on therapy to metformin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) compared to dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, sulfonylurea (SU), and thiazolidinedione (TZD). We conducted a retrospective cohort study using the NHIS-National Health Insurance-Database in Korea from 2014 to 2017.

Swarm intelligence (SI) algorithms use stochastic and heuristic principles that include simple and unintelligent individuals that follow some simple rules to accomplish very complex tasks. By mapping features of problems to parameters of SI algorithms, SI algorithms can achieve solutions in a flexible, robust, decentralized, and self-organized manner.

The FT-IR data show that the -CH peak intensity decreases while the -CH- and C=N peak intensities increase as the temperature is increased from 100 to 250 °C. This result is attributed to decomposition of the dimethylamido ligands.

Remote detection of radioactive materials is extremely challenging, yet it is important to realize the technique for safe usage of radioactive materials. Gamma rays are the most far distant penetrating photons that are involved with the radiation decay process. Herein, we overview the gamma-ray detection techniques that are material-based and vacuum tube-based.

The thermal stresses imposed on OLED materials in the evaporation source during the deposition process may cause phase transition and/or degradation of the source materials, which results in variations in their purity and thermal properties, such as the vapor pressure and, ultimately, the device degradation. In this work, we designed a simple and efficient apparatus to determine the long-term thermal stability of OLED materials, which allows prolonged heating of a minimal amount of the sample (∼2 g) for 50 h even under high vacuum below 10 Pa where the organic powder samples easily and rapidly vaporized because of exposure to temperature above their deposition temperature.

However, the practical applications of Laguerre-Gaussian type vortex beams are limited due to the fact that the divergence angle increases as the order of the OAM mode increases. In this work, we present metasurfaces that generate vortex beams carrying OAM modes with reduced divergence angles in the E-band frequency range.

Three-dimensional (3D) strain induced in self-assembled vertically aligned nanocomposite (VAN) epitaxial films provides an unrivaled method to induce very large strains in thin films. Here, by growing VAN films of EuTiO (ETO)-EuO (EO) with different EO fractions, the vertical strain was systematically increased in ETO, up to 3.15%, and the Eu-Ti-Eu bond angle along ⟨111⟩ decreased by up to 1°, leading to a weakening of the antiferromagnetic interactions and switching from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic behavior.
