Article Synopsis
  • Emotion goals, particularly the desire for low arousal positive affect (LAP), can influence a person's emotional experiences and regulate negative states, which is important for individuals with depression.
  • A study involving 50 females with depression used ecological momentary assessment to examine how their momentary desire for different types of positive affect related to their depressive feelings over a week.
  • Findings suggested that a stronger desire for LAP weakened the link between previous and subsequent depressive affect, highlighting the potential benefits of focusing on specific positive emotions in daily life for those experiencing depression.

The increasing use of plastics has led to the accumulation of plastic waste in the oceans, resulting in significant global environmental challenges associated with microplastic pollution. Micromotors, capable of capturing and removing microplastics from aquatic systems, have emerged as a promising solution to addressing this problem. This research aims to analyze the factors affecting the speed of micromotors, including size, morphology, and surface structure, while elucidating the underlying mechanisms governing micromotor propulsion to develop efficient and ecofriendly micromotors.
