Anxious depression in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and its relationship with medication adherence and glycemic control.

A relationship between anxious depression has been proposed in patients with diabetes, which may contribute to the lack of medication adherence. The aim of this study was to investigate if there is a relationship between depression and / or anxiety with medication adherence and glycemic control in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2). An analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out in the internal medicine outpatient clinic of a Hospital in Mexico.
