Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome: A COVID-19 Vaccine Reaction Case Report.

The World Health Organization declared the Coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) a public health emergency of international concern on 30 January 2020, and a pandemic on 11 March 2020. Vaccines have proven to be vital in the effort to control and possibly eventually eradicate this viral infection. There have been reports of thromboembolic events associated with the use of vaccine but from available information, no reported case of atypical Hemolytic Uremic syndrome (HUS) in a black male has been described.

The Ethical Dilemma of Balancing Confidentiality and Duty to Protect: A Case Report of Comorbid Schizophrenia and Cannabis Use Disorder with Homicidal Thoughts.

This is a report of a 29-year-old female with a history of Schizophrenia and Cannabis Use Disorder who presented with auditory hallucinations that asked her to kill her immediate supervisor. She presented the ethical dilemma many healthcare providers face in balancing the principles of patient confidentiality with the duty to protect and beneficence. The clinicians breached the patient's right to confidentiality to protect her supervisor by informing the supervisor, their manager, and the police.

Perception of Alcohol Use and Alcohol Use Disorder among Persons Involved in Road Accidents at an Emergency Department: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background: Alcohol plays a significant role in road traffic accidents in Ghana. However, little is known about the perspectives of victims who suffer road traffic accidents, RTAs, and the extent to which alcohol use disorder is involved.

Methodology: We conducted a three-month cross-sectional study in a teaching hospital involving 102 patients involved in a road accident and presented to the hospital's emergency.
