Symptomatic infratentorial ependymal cyst arising from the medulla: a case report with review of literature.

Background: Ependymal cysts (EC) typically present supra-tentorially near the lateral ventricle, juxta ventricular, or temporoparietal regions. Previous cases have also identified infratentorial EC of the brainstem, cerebellum, and subarachnoid spaces. They are mostly asymptomatic.
