Introduction: Prehabilitation (preoperative rehabilitation) encompasses a range of patient health driven interventions with the potential to enhance surgical outcomes. This systematic review aims to assess the efficacy of prehabilitation on postoperative outcomes across surgical specialties, focusing on physical functionality and postoperative length of stay (LOS).
Methods: Medline, Embase, CINAHL Plus, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Clinicaltrials.
The objective of this literature review was to examine and summarize knowledge of best practices for the management of patients suffering traumatic brain injury based on studies using a variety of practices to improve outcomes published 2018 - 2021. From a clinical perspective, when a patient suffers an acute traumatic brain injury, providers and clinicians ask themselves and each other, "What else could we do? What could we have tried to improve the outcome with this patient?" Astute clinicians spend ample time reviewing contemporary studies to improve their patients' outcomes. This project aimed not to find all studies about a specific treatment, but to review all studies about a topic to evaluate the studies for rigor and results to improve bedside patient care in times of crisis.

This article describes the critical role of neurosteroids in postpartum depression (PPD) and outlines the landmark pharmacological journey of brexanolone as a first-in-class neurosteroid antidepressant with significant advantages over traditional antidepressants. PPD is a neuroendocrine disorder that affects about 20% of mothers after childbirth and is characterized by symptoms including persistent sadness, fatigue, dysphoria, as well as disturbances in cognition, emotion, appetite, and sleep. Rates of nitrification correlated with the abundance of these dominant AOA populations, whose metabolism is characterized by ammonia oxidation, mixotrophic utilization of organic nitrogen, deamination, and the energetically efficient chemolithoautotrophic hydroxypropionate/hydroxybutyrate carbon fixation cycle. The current phenomenological qualitative study presents perceptions of chaplaincy interns ( = 24) and social work interns ( = 23) after a semester-long end-of-life clinical training experience with interdisciplinary palliative care teams. Methods: We conducted a sub-analysis of data pooled from two randomized, double-blind, vehicle (VEH)-controlled clinical trials, including 937 patients, each with 4 target SKs (N=3,748 SKs), with at least 1 on the face and 1 on the trunk or extremities.
Background: Approved topical treatments for seborrheic keratoses (SKs) are an unmet need.

Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is defined as an increase in left ventricular mass (LVM) associated with structural changes of myocardium. The increase in LVM and associated changes are associated with changes in depolarization and repolarization, manifested as a variety of altered QRS and T patterns. Increased QRS voltage has been considered to be a specific ECG finding in LVH, and ECG criteria based on this increased QRS voltage are generally recommended.
