- A study analyzed 336 Listeria isolates from ready-to-eat meat products and environments, including 206 L. monocytogenes and 130 L. innocua, to assess their antimicrobial resistance profiles.
- About 34.5% of L. monocytogenes and 43.1% of L. innocua showed resistance to one or two antimicrobials, with 24 isolates exhibiting multidrug resistance.
- The most widespread resistance was to oxacillin, while resistance to clindamycin and tetracycline was also noted, and overall resistance was higher in isolates from meat products compared to environmental samples.
