Gastric cancer biomarkers can be used for diagnosis, prediction of sensitivity to treatment, and prognosis. The following search terms were applied to PubMed as of December 2020: 'gastric cancer classification', 'gastric cancer epidemiology', 'cancer metastasis' and 'gastric cancer biomarker'.
