La colitis fulminante por Clostridium difficile se caracteriza por el desarrollo de una inflamación aguda severa del colon, asociada a toxicidad sistémica, y es la forma más grave de colitis aguda con una mortalidad de hasta el 80%. Presentamos el caso de un varón de 45 años que acude al servicio de urgencias por dolor abdominal agudo, diarrea y fiebre. La tomografía computarizada mostró engrosamiento parietal difuso circunferencial del colon, incluido el recto, asociado con estriación de los tejidos circundantes y formaciones ganglionares.

True splenic aneurysms are saccular dilations of all the layers of the splenic artery, more common in women, pregnancy and portal hypertension. They are usually asymptomatic and diagnosed incidentally during the study of other abdominal diseases. Up to 10% may present with rupture, which implies a high morbidity and mortality.
