ICIs are associated with multiple toxic adverse events affecting various organs, known collectively as immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Dry eye, uveitis, ocular myasthenia, and cicatrizing conjunctivitis are well-recognized ocular irAEs associated with ICIs.

The limited conversion of dietary DHA necessitates its consumption as food supplements. Omega-3 fatty acids possess anti-arrhythmic and anti-inflammatory capabilities, contributing to cardiovascular health.

Allergic follicular or papillary conjunctivitis is a well-known side effect of brimonidine. Brimonidine is associated with ocular allergic symptoms such as conjunctival hyperemia, stinging sensation, photophobia and, in severe cases, corneal erosions.

Multidrug-resistant foodborne pathogens (MRFP) cause morbidity, death, and substantial economic loss, as well as prolonged hospitalization. This study reports on the use of aqueous leaf extract (ARLE) in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (ARLE-AgNPs) with versatile biological activities.

Methods: Seven eyes from 7 patients with documented progressive keratoconus were treated with customized CXL (customized ultraviolet-A irradiance pattern centered on the maximum posterior elevation with total energy levels ranging from 5.4 up to 10 J/cm , and an energy fluence of 9 mW/cm) combined with photorefractive procedures.
Unlabelled: All mortality risk factors are higher in non-breastfed infants compared to infants under five months of age who receive Exclusive Breastfeeding (EBF). Examining the predicting role of maternal ideation in EBF practices can help to direct and strengthen the cooperation between multidisciplinary healthcare providers to formulate multidisciplinary breastfeeding enhancement strategies.
Methods: This correlational cross-sectional study investigates the relationship between maternal ideation and EBF practice among Saudi nursing mothers at Maternal and Children's Hospital (MCH) in Najran, Saudi Arabia.
Background: Vitamin D is a very important component of all vital functions in the human body. Its deficiency is a major public health issue worldwide and is associated with a broad spectrum of diseases. This study assessed knowledge, attitude, and practices regarding vitamin D deficiency among the general population in the Al-Qunfudhah governorate, Saudi Arabia.

Perineal pain related to episiotomy has been reported to interfere with women's daily activities postpartum and can prevent proper breastfeeding, proper rooming-in, and maternal-infant bonding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dry heat application on perineal pain and episiotomy wound Healing among primipara women.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFFemtosecond laser-assisted astigmatic keratotomy (FSAK) is recognized as a safe and effective therapeutic option for addressing high corneal astigmatism in corneal transplants. Although the incidence of corneal infection after FSAK in corneal transplants is very low, early detection and treatment is necessary to optimize visual outcomes and prevent devastating sequelae. This report describes a rare case of an early-onset infectious keratitis occurring in a corneal transplant after FSAK.

Currently, energy resources are limited for global demand and are constantly depleting and creating environmental problems. Some higher chain alcohols, like butanol and ethanol, processing similar properties to gasoline, can be alternate sources of biofuel.

The management of cataract in patients with uveitis is often challenging due to pre-existing ocular comorbidities that may limit the visual outcomes. A meticulous preoperative ophthalmic evaluation is needed to assess the concomitant ocular pathologies with special emphasis on the status of the macula and optic nerve.
