Investigation of Hemorheological Parameters in Ischemic Stroke Patients.

Background: The aim of this study is to determine whether there are any changes in hemorheological parameters, including whole blood viscosity (WBV), plasma viscosity, erythrocyte aggregation, and erythrocyte deformability, in acute ischemic stroke patients, and to establish their relationship with stroke etiology. The study also aims to observe the changes in these parameters, if any, over time and after treatment, and to assess the correlation between risk factors for ischemic stroke and neuroimaging findings.

Methods: This was a prospective observational study including 70 patients diagnosed with acute ischemic stroke within the first 3 days of the onset of symptoms and 96 healthy controls.

Pseudocavitation sign at chest CT scan due to COVID-19 pneumonia: A report of 5 cases and literature review.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia computed tomography imaging features have been described in detail in many studies. The pseudocavitation sign has not been described in the previous COVID-19 studies. We present chest computed tomography scans of 5 reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction positive patients with COVID-19 pneumonia who has bare areas among pulmonary infiltrates.

Subungual exostosis and subungual osteochondromas: a description of 25 cases.

Background: Subungual exostosis (SE) and subungual osteochondroma (SO) are an uncommon, benign tumor of the distal phalanx. The purpose of this retrospective study was to evaluate clinical, demographical, and radiological features; treatment modalities; and follow-up results in SE and SO cases.

Methods: Twenty-five cases were confirmed histopathologically as SE or SO.
