Willingness to pay for Social Health Insurance and associated factors among Public Civil Servants in Ethiopia: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: The provision of equitable and accessible healthcare is one of the goals of universal health coverage. However, due to high out-of-pocket payments, people in the world lack sufficient health services, especially in developing countries. Thus, many low and middle-income countries introduced different prepayment mechanisms to reduce large out-of-pocket payments and overcome financial barriers to accessing health care.

Assessment of hospitalisation costs and their determinants among Covid-19 patients in South Central Ethiopia.

Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic is a global public health problem. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a substantial impact on the economy of developing countries, including Ethiopia.This study aimed to determine the hospitalisation costs of Covid-19 and the factors associated with the high cost of hospitalisation in South Central Ethiopia.

Th17 and IL-17 as Predictors of Hepatic Inflammation in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis C Virus Infection and Treated With Direct Antiviral Therapy.

Limited data exists on the role of Th17 cells in chronic HCV infected patients, particularly with regard to hepatic inflammation and fibrosis. We aimed to investigate the relationship between circulating and intrahepatic frequency of Th17 cells and IL-17 serum level and degrees of hepatic inflammation and fibrosis in chronic HCV patients, as well as to evaluate the effect of successful anti-viral therapy on these parameters. This nested longitudinal case control study included 30 treatment-naïve chronic HCV patients and 20 healthy individuals as control.

Ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase-1 (CD39/ENTPD1) is the ectonucleotidase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP.
