Anaesthetic Management of a Patient with Brugada Syndrome in Total Knee Arthroplasty.

We report the case of a 52-year-old female diagnosed with Brugada syndrome (BrS) scheduled to undergo right total knee arthroplasty. General anaesthesia was induced and maintained with thiopental intravenous sodium + remifentanil and sevoflurane + remifentanil infusion, respectively. Rocuronium bromide was used as the muscle relaxant.

The aim of this study is to evaluate our preferred technique and comment on the midterm results of our clinical experience with palliative arterial switch operation (pASO) for a certain subset of patients.

Method: We hereby retrospectively evaluate the charts of patients who went through pASO, as initial palliation through Fontan pathway, starting from 2014 till today.

We studied the effect of di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) on rat hair deposition of Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn), and Zinc (Zn). Four groups, each of eight of female Wistar rats weighing 250-300 g, were randomly distributed to (1) control (corn oil-based diet), (2) DEHP 20 (20 mg DEHP per kg body weight (bw), (3) DEHP 100 (100mg DEHP kg/bw, and (4) DEHP 500 (500 mg DEHP kg/bw). The diets were fed daily for 14 days by gastric gavage before the rats were sacrificed.

Objective: The aim of this study is to report on the short-term and mid-term outcomes of preterm infants who underwent patent ductus arteriosus ligation through anterior mini-thoracotomy.

Methods: Data for 103 preterm infants who underwent patent ductus arteriosus clipping through an anterior mini-thoracotomy at the 2nd intercostal space between 2009 and 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. The patients were divided into two groups according to their weight at the time of surgery.

The SARS-CoV-2 proteome shares regions of conservation with endemic human coronaviruses (CoVs), but it remains unknown to what extent these may be cross-recognized by the antibody response. Here, we study cross-reactivity using a highly multiplexed peptide assay (PepSeq) to generate an epitope-resolved view of IgG reactivity across all human CoVs in both COVID-19 convalescent and negative donors. PepSeq resolves epitopes across the SARS-CoV-2 Spike and Nucleocapsid proteins that are commonly targeted in convalescent donors, including several sites also recognized in some uninfected controls.

Effect of Asbestos Exposure on the Frequency of EGFR Mutations and ALK/ROS1 Rearrangements in Patients With Lung Adenocarcinoma: A Multicentric Study.

Ginkgo Biloba affects microvascular morphology: a prospective optical coherence tomography angiography pilot study.

Purpose: To analyze the vascular morphology changes after consumption of Ginkgo biloba in healthy volunteers by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).

Methods: Sixty healthy volunteers without systemic and ocular disease were included in this prospective pilot study. After receiving the informed consent of the volunteers, Ginkgo biloba extract (120 mg oral capsule) was administered to sixty volunteers for 4 weeks, once a day in the morning.

We assessed how lipid metabolism during development from the C4 stage to adult is altered in response to predation risk and varying food availability, to ultimately understand more of the metabolic processes during development in Calanus copepods.
