Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of perirenal fat volume and perirenal fat density on prognosis in surgically treated non-metastatic renal cell carcinomas (RCC).

Methods And Materials: All consecutive patients who underwent partial or total nephrectomy surgery between March 2019 and December 2021 were assessed. Measurements of perirenal fat volume and perirenal fat density were performed on computed tomography (CT) images.

Background: The diverse and complex presentations of COVID-19 continue to impact the world. Factors related to prognosis and mortality are still not fully illuminated.

Objectives: We aimed to asses the relationship of N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and main pulmonary artery diameter (MPAD) with COVID-19 prognosis and mortality.

Background: There is a lack of renal resistive index (RRI)-based data on the effects of COVID-19 in transplant patients. We aimed to investigate the effect of COVID-19 on the RRI of renal transplant recipients and to review the outcomes of patients who underwent renal transplantation (RT) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: The data of 90 recipients were retrospectively reviewed.

Background: Although previous studies have illustrated the relationship between chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease, erectile dysfunction, and the triglyceride-glucose index (TyGi), the relationship between this index and postoperative graft function in patients undergoing renal transplantation has yet to be investigated. In the present study, we aimed to reveal the association between the TyGi and renal graft outcomes in patients who underwent renal transplantation.

Methods: We retrospectively collected data on living and cadaveric kidney donor recipients between May 2019 and April 2022.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the effect of perirenal fat volume (PFV) on graft functions by calculating the PFV of donor kidney with routine computed tomography before renal transplantation.

Methods: From May 2019 to December 2020, a total of 54 living donors and recipients who met the criteria for kidney donor were included in the study. Left donor nephrectomy was performed to all donors.

The aim of this study was to assess the utility of shear wave elastography in the follow-up of testicular detorsion, evaluate long-term outcomes, and explore its relationship with parameters such as tissue stiffness values, pain duration, and torsion type. Elastography examinations were independently performed by two radiologists to evaluate patients who presented to our hospital for follow-up after being diagnosed with testicular torsion and age-matched controls. Inter-observer variability of the mean testicular tissue elasticity was excellent (Intraclass correlation coefficient: 0.

Objective: To examine the relation between perirenal fat volume, which is one of the visceral fat measurements, and kidney stones.

Methods: 169 patients admitted to our clinic between January 2018 and May 2021 were included in the study. The patients were divided into 2 groups as Control Group and Unilateral Kidney Stone Group (88 patients with unilateral kidney stones).

Objective: To determine if there is a difference in proceeding to CKD between patients who had undergone radical nephrectomy (RN) and simple nephrectomy (SN) for different indications by comparing the short- and long-term renal function.

Materials And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the records of all patients who underwent nephrectomy (either for malign or benign indications) in our clinic between January 2007 and September 2017. The patients were divided into 2 groups according the type of surgery: 1) Radical nephrectomy Group, 2) Simple Nephrectomy Group.

Tubular ectasia of rete testis (TERT) is a rarely seen benign condition of testis which can cause chronic orchalgia. TERT appears as an anechoic lesion in ultrasonography. However magnetic resonance imaging is a more sophisticated diagnostic tool.

Introduction: For small renal calculi (< 2 cm) the currently available treatment options include extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL), retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and standard/mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PNL). A new method, microperc, has therefore been developed, in which a smaller tract size and smaller instruments were used.

Aim: To present our clinical experiences with micropercutaneous nephrolithotripsy (microperc) in the treatment of small renal calculi.

Purpose: To assess the frequency of complications specifically related to local anesthetic infiltration prior to transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)-guided prostate biopsy.

Methods: A total of 200 patients receiving 10 cm(3) (5 cm(3) on each side) of 2% lidocaine injected around the periprostatic nerve plexus under TRUS guidance before prostate biopsy were included. Various complications presumed to be associated with local anesthesia were noted during and after the biopsy procedure.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether an inguinal hernia would have an impact on the testicular volume and blood flow by scrotal ultrasonography.

Methods: Twenty-six male patients with unilateral inguinal hernias with a mean age of 48.1 years were included in the study.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the role of spectral Doppler ultrasonographic parameters of the feeding arteries of the prostate for the detection of prostate cancer.

Methods: A total of 55 patients referred for prostate biopsy with a mean age of 66.4 years (range, 46-82 years) were included.
