Project ECHO Brain Health: Assessing the Impact of a Pilot Program to Promote Self-Efficacy Among Community Health Workers.

This mixed-methods study sought to examine the impact of the Project ECHO Brain Health program on participating community health workers' (CHWs') self-efficacy to address dementia, promote brain health, and advocate for research among Latinx South Texas communities. Using an explanatory sequential design, quantitative data collected from pre- and post-program surveys were analyzed to inform the collection of qualitative data, followed by an interpretation of all findings to better understand the impact of the program on self-efficacy. Pre- and post-surveys were collected from 25 CHWs, 13 of whom later participated in individual interviews.

Transforming Healthcare Cybersecurity from Reactive to Proactive: Current Status and Future Recommendations.

The recent rise in cybersecurity breaches in healthcare organizations has put patients' privacy at a higher risk of being exposed. Despite this threat and the additional danger posed by such incidents to patients' safety, as well as operational and financial threats to healthcare organizations, very few studies have systematically examined the cybersecurity threats in healthcare. To lay a firm foundation for healthcare organizations and policymakers in better understanding the complexity of the issue of cybersecurity, this study explores the major type of cybersecurity threats for healthcare organizations and explains the roles of the four major players (cyber attackers, cyber defenders, developers, and end-users) in cybersecurity.

Evaluation of phytotherapy alternatives for controlling Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus in vitro.

The objective of this study was to identify the main chemical components of the essential oil of Cuminum cyminum L. (cumin) and of the fixed oils of Bertholletia excelsa (Brazil nut) and of Helianthus annuus (sunflower seed). As well as testing the three oils and three different commercial synthetic acaricides against engorged females of Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus in order to explore their acaricidal efficacy.
