IgG4-related disease is a newly recognized inflammatory disease characterized by tissue infiltrates of IgG4 positive plasma cells. The disease was first recognized in pancreas but has now been described in nearly every organ. The diagnosis is based on the presence of dense lymphoplasmocytic infiltrates rich in IgG4 positive plasma cells.
