In the present study, a MoVN-Cu nanocomposite coating was tribologically evaluated for durability in high- and low-viscosity fuels as a function of temperature, load, and sliding velocity conditions. The results indicate that the MoVN-Cu coating is effective in decreasing wear and friction relative to an uncoated steel surface.

The aim of this study was to investigate four different polymorphic variants, differential methylation and expression status of the TNF-α gene and to determine the associations between these variants and disease risk, and to evaluate the relationship between the results and clinical parameters. We purposed to investigate the genetic and epigenetic alterations of the TNF-α gene in larynx cancer (LC).

In this study, we have discovered the anti-wear capability of a series of metal nitride-copper nanocomposite coatings tested in a liquid hydrocarbon environment. The results indicate substantial reduction of the wear in comparison to the uncoated steel substrate.

Methods: The previous fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) of thyroid nodules of 879 cases diagnosed histopathologically between 2010 and 2017 was examined. The FNAB results determined according to the Bethesda system were matched with tissue diagnoses, sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy rates were investigated according to cytology methods.
Objective: Paratesticular neoplasms exhibit different behaviours, depending on the embryological tissue of origin. Treatment modalities can depend on the differential diagnosis. The aim of this study is to present the clinical, morphological and histopathological features of patients with paratesticular masses and their follow-ups and is intended to increase awareness of the issues.

Materials And Methods: The study was conducted retrospectively from medical records to compare demographic and clinical characteristics and recurrence of benign and malignant eyelid tumors after obtaining institutional review board approval. A total of 428 eyelid tumors with histopathologic diagnoses were studied.
Objective: To evaluate the association of the oxidative stress markers in patients with endometrial polyp.
Methods: A total of forty nine patients between 28-47 years of ages who have a suspect evidence of endometrial polyp on transvaginal sonography were enrolled for the study. Hysterosonography was applied all of the patients and patients then were divided into two groups in terms of their hysteroscopic findings.

Background: The aim of this study was to analyze the alterations in thiol levels among mothers and neonates who were prone to medical oxytocin induction.
Materials And Methods: A total of 40 pregnant women who underwent medical labor induction with oxytocin (Group A) were compared with 53 women whose labor progressed spontaneously without any kind of induction (Group B). We measured the thiol/disulfide homeostasis parameters (native thiol, total thiol, disulfide, disulfide/total thiol, disulfide/native thiol) of maternal and cord blood.
Moving mechanical interfaces are commonly lubricated and separated by a combination of fluid films and solid 'tribofilms', which together ensure easy slippage and long wear life. The efficacy of the fluid film is governed by the viscosity of the base oil in the lubricant; the efficacy of the solid tribofilm, which is produced as a result of sliding contact between moving parts, relies upon the effectiveness of the lubricant's anti-wear additive (typically zinc dialkyldithiophosphate). Minimizing friction and wear continues to be a challenge, and recent efforts have focused on enhancing the anti-friction and anti-wear properties of lubricants by incorporating inorganic nanoparticles and ionic liquids.

We aim to analyze the role of FSHR gene variants (single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in exon 10 (codon 307 and 680) and in the core promoter region (at position -29) and Ala189Val inactivating mutation) in Turkish infertile women. There were studies analyzing the effects of the SNPs in exon 10 (codon 307 and 680) and in the core promoter region (at position -29) of the FSHR gene on spermatogenesis, but to our knowledge, there were no studies analyzing the effects of these three SNP combinations on female fertility.

The structure of these layers was correlated with the friction and wear behavior observed on H-DLC. H-DLC is well-known for its ultralow friction in inert environments, but the steady superlubricious state is always preceded by a run-in period with a high friction.

Study Design: The uterine horn adhesion model was carried out in 24 female Wistar rats. The animals were randomized into 4 groups: (1) control, (2) Ringer's lactate, (3) olive oil, and (4) vitamin D.
Nanoconfinement effects of boundary lubricants can significantly affect the friction behavior of textured solid interfaces. These effects were studied with nanotextured diamond-like carbon (DLC) surfaces using a reciprocating ball-on-flat tribometer in liquid lubricants with different molecular structures: n-hexadecane and n-pentanol for linear molecular structure and poly(α-olefin) and heptamethylnonane for branched molecular structure. It is well-known that liquid lubricants with linear molecular structures can readily form a long-range ordered structure upon nanoconfinement between flat solid surfaces.

However, only five cases of prostate cancer metastatic to the stomach have been previously reported in the literature. We report a case of a 69-year-old man with metastatic prostate cancer who presented with upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGB) 4 years after the diagnosis.

Proliferating trichilemmal tumor (PTT) is a rare but morphologically distinct tumor that usually arises on the scalp of elderly women. It is composed of multiple cysts consisting of squamous epithelium with trichilemmal keratinization without granular layer interposition. Vulvar proliferating trichilemmal cyst is very rare, with, to the best of our knowledge, only 3 cases previously reported in the literature.

Methods: This prospective, cross-sectional study was conducted in a total of 58 non-obese, infertile women with PCOS. The endometrial thickness was measured at three different times throughout the menstrual cycle by ultrasound.
Objective: The gonadotropin-releasing hormone-agonist (GnRH-a) treatment during in vitro fertilization (IVF) sometimes causes a functional ovarian cyst during the administration period before gonadotropin stimulation, as an undesired event. The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of these cysts on the IVF outcomes.
Material And Methods: Out of 981 IVF cycles, 78 with ovarian cysts were retrospectively analyzed with respect to the demographic characteristics, hormonal outcomes, and fertilization, implantation and clinical pregnancy rates.
Background: Prolonged GnRH-a administration in IVF cycles may have some advantages related to the treatment outcomes.
Objective: In this study, we aimed to analyse the effect of prolonged gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) administration on controlled ovarian hyperstimulation outcomes of in vitro fertilization (IVF) patients.
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective study, 55 patients with a GnRH-a administration period more than 10 days were compared with 55 patients whose same period was ≤10 days with respect to the demographic characteristics, metaphase II (MII) oocyte ratio, grade I (GI) embryo ratio, blastocyst ratio, fertilization, implantation, and the clinical pregnancy rates.
Purpose: To determine Vit E effect on the treatment outcomes of women with unexplained infertility undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
Methods: The study group (Group A, n053) underwent controlled ovarian stimulation with clomiphene citrate with Vit E administration, 400 IU/day p.o.
Purpose: Endometrial polyp is the commenest pathology among the structural uterine abnormalities. In this study we compared the IVF outcomes of patients who underwent hysteroscopic endometrial polyp excision with respect to the time interval between the polyp resection and the subsequent IVF cycle.
Materials And Methods: A total of 60 patients were divided into two groups according to the time interval between the hysteroscopic polyp resection and the start of the following IVF cycle.
