THE EFFECT OF SUBCUTANEOUS EPINEPHRINE DOSAGE ON BLOOD LOSS IN SURGICAL INCISION.

Background: Vasoconstrictive drugs are increasingly frequently used to stop bleeding during cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, especially subcutaneous epinephrine. As far as we are aware, no studies have been conducted on how adrenaline affects bleeding in patients having supraventricular flap surgery so we planned this study to find out the impact of various epinephrine dosages on the amount of bleeding in surgical incisions among participants undergoing supraclavicular flap surgery.

Methods: This single-blinded randomised controlled trial was performed at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital, from September 2022 to September 2023.

A Single Centre, Randomized Control Trial Of Donor Site Wound Dressings After Split-Thickness Skin Grafting.

Methods: This cross sectional study including n=377 cases of sensorineural hearing impairment, using non-probability convenience sampling, who fulfilled the selection criteria was conducted from 1 July 2019 to 31 October 2019. Unimolecular Dissociation of γ-Ketohydroperoxide via Direct Chemical Dynamics Simulations.

γ-Ketohydroperoxide [3-(hydroperoxy)propanal] is an important reagent in synthetic chemistry and, in particular, oxidation reactions. It is considered to be a precursor for secondary organic aerosol formation in the troposphere. Due to enhanced reactivity and limitations associated with analytical techniques, theoretical methods have been employed to study the unimolecular reactivity of hydroperoxides.

Direct Chemical Dynamics Simulations of H + CO Bimolecular Reaction.

The proton transfer reaction H + CO → HCO/HOC + H has gained considerable attention in the literature due to its importance in interstellar chemistry. The reaction products-formyl cation (HCO) and isoformyl cation (HOC)-are known to initiate multiple chemical reaction networks, resulting in complex molecules found in space. Several experimental and theoretical studies probing the structure and energetics of the [HCO] system, HCO/HOC product branching ratios, reaction mechanisms, etc.

Correlation of Ki 67 proliferative index with clinical and pathological features on tissue sections of non Hodgkins lymphoma by immunostaining.

Objectives: To assess Ki 67 proliferative index (PI) in tissue sections, with relation to grade and clinical parameters associated with non Hodgkin's lymphoma in Pakistani population.

Methods: All cases of non Hodgkin's lymphoma, diagnosed at histopathology section of Dow Diagnostic research and reference laboratory from October 2008 to June 2010, were included for this cross sectional study. Immunohistochemical study using monoclonal antibody MIB 1, Dako, Denmark against Ki 67 antigen was carried out on paraffin embedded tissue blocks of 62 patients.

Frequency and clinicopathologic correlation of different types of non Hodgkin's lymphoma according to WHO classification.

Objectives: To analyze the frequency and clinicopathologic correlation of different types of Non Hodgkin's Lymphomas (NHL) according to WHO classification of lymphoid neoplasms.

Methods: Total sixty two consecutive biopsy proven cases of NHL, from October 2008 to June 2010, were selected. The inclusion criteria was, all newly diagnosed patients of NHL with appropriate clinical information regarding age, gender, anatomic location and occurrence of B symptoms.

Clinicopathologic evaluation of subgroups of diffuse large B cell lymphoma by immunohistochemistry.

Unlabelled: Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) has become an emerging epidemic in recent years. Striking heterogeneity in its clinical, biological and treatment responses prompted us to identify variation in our study group. The aim was to classify the DLBCL into prognosis-based subgroups according to the WHO classification and to evaluate their relation to clinical parameters (age, gender, anatomic location and B symptoms), as well as bcl 2 and Ki 67 status.
