A series of new charge transfer (CT) chromophores of "α-diimine-M-catecholate" type (where M is 3d-row transition metals-Cu, Ni, Co) were derived from 4,4'-di--butyl-2,2'-bipyridyl and 3,6-di--butyl--benzoquinone () in accordance with three modified synthetic approaches, which provide high yields of products. A square-planar molecular structure is inherent for monomeric () and () chromophores, while dimeric complex () units two substantially distorted heteroleptic D-M-A (where D, M, A are donor, metal and acceptor, respectively) parts through a donation of oxygen atoms from catecholate dianions. Chromophores - undergo an effective photoinduced intramolecular charge transfer (λ = 500-715 nm, extinction coefficient up to 10 M·cm) with a concomitant generation of a less polar excited species, the energy of which is a finely sensitive towards solvent polarity, ensuring a pronounced negative solvatochromic effect.

A series of complexes of metal halides with unreduced quinone-type ligands have been synthesized and characterized in detail. The 3,6-di--butyl--benzoquinone () and 4,6-di--butyl--aryl-substituted -iminobenzoquinones (-) (aryl is 2,6-dimethylphenyl in , 2-methyl-6-ethylphenyl in , 2,6-diethylphenyl in , and 2,6-diisopropylphenyl in ) were used to obtain the molecular complexes with metal 12 group halides as well as with indium(III) iodide. The molecular structures of five complexes, bearing an unreduced form of redox-active ligand, have been established by single-crystal X-ray analysis.

Three new 3D metal-organic frameworks of lanthanum based on mixed anionic ligands, [(La(pQ)(BDC))·4DMF], [(La(pQ)(DHBDC))·4DMF], [(La(CA)(BDC))·4DMF] (pQ-dianion of 2,5-dihydroxy-3,6-di-tert-butyl-para-quinone, CA-dianion of chloranilic acid, BDC-1,4-benzenedicarboxylate, DHBDC-2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-benzenedicarboxylate and DMF-N,N'-dimethylformamide), were synthesized using solvothermal methodology. Coordination polymers demonstrate the rare or topology of a 3D framework. The homoleptic 2D-coordination polymer [(La(pQ))·4DMF] was obtained as a by-product in the course of synthetic procedure optimization.

Objective: To study the possibility of improving the efficacy of treatment with mexidol in COVID-19 patients with chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI).

Material And Methods: Three hundred and four patients with CCI and COVID-19 were observed, group 1 (=152) consisted of patients receiving basic therapy and mexidol, group 2 (=152) received only basic therapy. Mexidol was administered intravenously for 14 days, 500 mg (10 ml) per 400 ml of saline solution, then Mexidol FORTE 250 was administered in a dose of 250 mg 3 times a day for 2 months.

The new bis-o-iminobenzosemiquinonate nickel and cobalt complexes (imSQt-Bu)2M (M = Ni (1), Co (2)), where imSQ is a radical anion of 4,6-di-tert-butyl-N-(tert-butyl)-o-iminobenzoquinone, were synthesized and characterized in detail. The molecular structures of 1 and 2 have been established by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The metal atoms in 1 and 2 have a distorted tetrahedral environment, and the dihedral angles between the planes of two radical imSQ ligands are approximately 80° in both complexes.

A number of pentacoordinated gallium complexes iSQ2GaR (1-7) (R = Et (1), Me (2), N3 (3), Cl (4), Br (5), I (6), NCS (7)) where iSQ is a radical anion of 4,6-di-tert-butyl-N-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-o-iminobenzoquinone were synthesized, and crystalline samples of 1-7 were characterized using magnetic susceptibility measurements. The character of magnetic exchange interaction between spins of o-iminosemiquinonate radicals was found to be strongly influenced by the nature of the apical substituent. The antiferromagnetic coupling is predominant when the apical position is occupied by halogens or other tested inorganic anions, and the value of exchange interaction parameter varies from -99 to -176 K for R = I and NCS, respectively.

The problem of differential diagnostics and forensic medical expertise of various forms of craniocerebral injuries is discussed. It is concluded that clinical and laboratory studies are insufficient to objectively estimate the results of the examination. The authors emphasize the importance of searching for new and more informative diagnostic techniques.

As many as 617 patients with measles were examined. Of these, 306 subjects presented with a complicated form of the condition. A way is suggested for the prognostication of complications, relying on clinical factors and on a method for non-uniform sequential statistical procedure.

The association of the HLA system with measles morbidity in transmissive children was studied. The study revealed that the ability of contacting measles has genetic predisposition expressed in positive or negative association with different antigens of the HLA system. This association has polygenic character and determines the clinical course of measles.

Immunological indices were compared in 138 patients with angina and concomitant bronchitis; 86 of them received antibiotics, splenin and vylosen; 52 received routine treatment. It was established that use of a combination of splenin and vylosen produces a pronounced immunodulating effect in primary immunodeficiency states due to recurrences of angina and concomitant pathology of the bronchopulmonary in workers of a large industrial enterprise. Immunomodulators are indicated in the treatment of repeat and relapsing angina, especially in the presence of concomitant bronchitis.

Isoturone (5 mg/kg) administered in a single dose intravenously to unanesthetized cats in a torpid phase of traumatic shock increases arterial blood pressure (BP) and total peripheral vascular resistance (TPVR). The drug restores BP level mainly due to an increase of TPVR against background of neurovegetative blockade induced by pentamine, phentolamine and combinations of phentolamine with hexonium in the presence of a severe trauma. Vascular sensitivity to isoturone in traumatic shock is preserved and considerably increases during the use of the vasopressor in different types of neurovegetative blockade.

In the experiments on enzymic systems functioning in the metabolism of folic acid and on transplantable tumors in animals the preparation thomizine (chlorohydrate 4-methoxy-6-aminopyrimido (4,5-b) (1,4) thiazine) was worked out. Thomizine, as well as the known antimetabolite of folic acid-methotrexate, suppresses the activity of dihydrofolate reductase, but contrary to it suppresses FAP enzymic system, inhibiting aminopterin in the organism. Thomizine differes from methotrexate by another spectrum of antitumor effect, selective suppression of the tumor tissue growth, compared with the normal in vitro, it does not inhibit leucopoiesis, shows less toxicity and insignificant cumulative properties.
