Investigated in the study was activity of proteinases, nontripsin-like proteinases (NTLP), a1-inhibitor of proteinases (a1-PI), and a2-macroglobulin (a2-MG) in the blood serum of workers of the Kharkov tile plant and those of the Institute of Therapy of the AMS of Ukraine, who had been exposed to stress factors, and during the early stages of hypertensive disease (HD). The activity of proteinases, NTLP appeared to be decreased in the group of HD patients. In both groups there was a decrease in the level of a1-PI and a rise of the activity of chimase, a2-MG.

In a study of 114 patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD) a relatedness has been found out of frequency and duration of "silent" ischemia of the myocardium to the degree of severity of atherosclerotic affection of the vascular bed and aggravation of IHD clinical symptomatology, with the activity of the opioid system tending to decline, catecholamines concentration being on the increase. It is beta-endorphin and leucine-enkephalin that have an important part to play in the regulation of algesthesia in IHD patients, the plasma content of which substances gets appreciably higher in exercise-induced painless ischemia. A change in the opioid-adrenosympathetic equilibrium is considered to be related to features of IHD clinical course.

Overall thirty-eight patients with exertional angina who had episodes of asymptomatic change of position of T-segment were examined. The above patients were divided into two groups: group I was placed on anaprilin treatment (80-120 mg daily), group II received corinfar (60 mg daily). Episodes of asymptomatic ischemia of the myocardium (AIM) showed two peaks in their 24 h-span occurrence, with the greatest number of these being recordable in early morning hours (from six a.

As many as 20 patients with neurocirculatory dystonia (NCD) and 10 IHD patients presenting with stable exertional angina were evaluated for an effectiveness of antianginal action of validol tablets commercially- and noncommercially produced, the above tablets being of the changed composition in the latter case. Validol of both changed and unchanged composition had a similar transient antianginal effect which was higher in NCD than it was in angina pectoris. Economical as well as clinical effects of validol of the changed make up warrant it to be commercially produced.

With a purpose to study the state of platelet haemostasis and vasoactive prostanoids system 78 patients with ischemic heart disease aged 28 to 59 years were examined. Among them there were 22 patients with "isolated" hypo-alpha-cholesterolemia and 14 patients who had hypo-alpha-cholesterolemia combined with hypertriglyceridemia (HTG). The data obtained show that hypo-alpha-cholesterolemia is accompanied by platelet disorders aggravation and characterized by activated platelet percentage growth.

A study is presented of the reactions of prostacyclin-thromboxane system and functions of thrombocytes to physical loads inducing myocardial ischemia in patients with ischemic heart disease of different age groups. Examined were 62 patients with stable stenocardia of the II and III functional classes. Age of the patients: from 44 to 60 years.

The authors studied the functional activity of thrombocytes, levels of plasma and thrombocytic cyclic AMP (cAMP) in the dynamics of a veloergometric test in patients with IHD and neurocirculatory dystonia. The revealed signs of hyperactivation of thrombocytes and absence of compensatory response of cAMP in IHD patients against the background of thresholds loads allows to improve the quality of prediction of thrombotic complications and control of treatment efficacy with agents possessing antithrombocytic activity.
