Objective: Aortic rupture is a rare and catastrophic emergency. Prompt diagnosis and treatment are the primary determinants of mortality. During follow-up, the majority of patients who have been effectively treated die from hypovolemic shock and multiorgan failure.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of TAVI on MR and TR, pulmonary hypertension, and reverse cardiac remodeling in these patients. Methods: Out of 240 patients who underwent TAVI, 79 who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were analyzed.

Operators hesitate about the valve size when the annulus measurements fall into borderline area. Our purpose was to compare the results of borderline versus non-borderline annulus and to understand the impact of valve type and under or oversizing.

The secondary objective was to describe a treatment approach for COVID-19. Between Mar 12, 2020, and Jun 22, 2021, 159 patients with COVID-19 were allocated into 2 groups: the variant negative group (77 patients before December 2020) and the variant positive group (82 patients after December 2020).

Pulmonary artery stiffness (PAS) is a relatively new noninvasive echocardiographic index developed to evaluate the structural features and functions of the pulmonary vascular bed. In this study, we aimed to evaluate right ventricular (RV) functions and PAS in PV patients and healthy controls.

We investigated whether using adenosine triphosphate (ATP) or benidipine either separately or together protects against cardiac damage induced by bevacizumab in rats. Forty Wistar albino male rats were allocated to five groups of eight: bevacizumab (Bv), ATP + bevacizumab (ABv), benidipine + bevacizumab (BBv), ATP + benidipine + bevacizumab (ABBv) and untreated controls.

Nevertheless, no studies are investigating the risk of atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmia in MINOCA patients. This study aimed to determine the risk of arrhythmia with electrocardiographic predictors in MINOCA patients.

Methods: Fifty-four patients who underwent successful CMCS implantation were evaluated.
Purpose: To test the following hypotheses: (a) balloon or stent assistance increases coil packing density (CPD) in the endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms, and (b) CPD correlates to ostium area (OA) and aneurysm volume (AV).
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 60 aneurysms (54 ruptured and 6 unruptured) treated with simple coiling (SC) (n = 18), balloon-assisted coiling (BAC) (n = 7), or stent-assisted coiling (SAC) (n = 35) at the authors' institution between August 2017 and December 2019. AV and OA measurements were obtained from 3-dimensional digital subtraction angiography images using commercial software.
Objective: To present the authors' experience of Mahaim-type accessory pathways (MAPs), focusing on anatomic localizations.
Methods: Data from consecutive patients who underwent electrophysiological study (EPS) for MAP ablation in two tertiary centres, between January 1998 and June 2020, were retrospectively analysed.
Results: Of the 55 included patients, 27 (49.
Objective: Catheter ablation following electrophysiologic study (EPS) is the mainstay of diagnosis and treatment for patients with atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT), demonstrating excellent long-term outcome and a low rate of complications. In this study, our aim was to assess our experience in patients with accessory pathway (AP) and to compare our data with the literature.
Methods: We included 1,437 patients who were diagnosed and treated for AP in our hospital between 1998 and 2020.
Background: Permanent junctional reciprocating tachycardia (PJRT) is an infrequent form of atrioventricular re-entrant tachycardia. We report the clinical and electrophysiological properties of PJRT and outcomes of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RCA) in a large group of patients.
Methods: We included 62 patients with the diagnosis of PJRT.
Objective: The management of severe functional mitral regurgitation (FMR) in patients with heart failure (HF) and low ejection fraction is controversial, but percutaneous transcatheter procedures are promising. In this retrospective analysis, we aimed to assess the efficacy of the Carillon Mitral Contour System in patients with "inoperable" severe FMR.
Methods: Seventy three patients (mean age 66.
There is still no consensus on the optimal technique for performing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in ostial coronary lesions, due to potential complications. The modified flower petal technique is one of the techniques to management of ostial lesions. It seems suitable technique in terms of covering the coronary ostium well.

Methods: 21 thoracolumbar (T5-L3) VBT patients (VBT group); and 22 age-gender-fusion level and minimum follow-up duration matched thoracolumbar (T3-L3) PSF patients (PSF group) were enrolled. Average FU duration of group 1 and 2 were 37.
Objectives: Kidney transplant started at Başkent University Konya Hospital in July 2016. In this study, we compared the causes of brain death and the organ donation rates in our center between 2013 and 2016 versus between 2016 and 2019.
Materials And Methods: Patient files and records were analyzed retrospectively.
Objective: Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) is among the serious complications of invasive cardiovascular procedures that are performed with the administration of contrast agents. We investigated the role of the inflammatory markers in predicting CIN in acute coronary syndrome patients.
Methods: This study included 232 consecutive patients with acute coronary syndrome who underwent emergency angiography at our center.

As a modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular disease, presence of hypertension (HT) necessitates the awareness of asymptomatic organ damage (AOD). The aim of this study was to measure plasma micro RNA-21 (miR-21) and the parameters that reflect AOD such as carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT), microalbuminuria (MAU) in hypertensive patients compared with healthy controls. In addition, the aim of this study was to evaluate plasma miR-21 levels in HT patients with AOD.

We investigated the association between the presence and severity of carotid artery disease (CrAD) using the SS and SS II in 287 patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting. We based this investigation on the known association between coronary artery disease and CrAD.

The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between the development of NOAF and severity of coronary artery disease using the SYNTAX score (SS) and SYNTAX score II (SSII) in patients with non-ST-segment elevation ACS (NSTE-ACS) who were treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). A total of 662 patients with NSTE-ACS were consecutively enrolled.

Causes include foreign bodies, toxic/hot fumes, difficult intubation, laryngeal spasm, and tumors. Before definitive control of the airway is possible, provide 100% oxygen with a tightly fitting mask to optimize body oxygen stores.
