The multisystemic effects of COVID-19 may continue for a longer time period following the acute phase, depending on the severity of the disease. However, long-term systemic transcriptomic changes associated with COVID-19 disease and the impact of disease severity are not fully understood. We aimed to investigate the impact of COVID-19 and its severity on transcriptomic alterations in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) following 1 year of the disease.

Methods: Participants were randomly divided into three groups, no blockade (n:20), endoscopic SPGB (n:20), and transoral SPGB (n:20). Those who had no blockage were included in the control group.
Peptides are one of the leading groups of compounds that have been the subject of a great deal of biological research and still continue to attract researchers' attention. In this study, a series of tripeptides based on tyrosine amino acids were synthesized by the triazine method. The cytotoxicity properties of all compounds against human cancer cell lines (MCF-7), ovarian (A2780), prostate (PC-3), and colon cancer cell lines (Caco-2) were determined by the 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide assay method, and % cell viability and logIC50 values of the compounds were calculated.

Methods: The study included 329 patients who came to the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic of our hospital with symptoms of snoring and sleep apnea between January 2020 and 2022 and were referred to the sleep laboratory for polysomnography (PSG). AP surgery was recommended for those with retropalatal stenosis in the anteroposterior direction, and ESP surgery for those with lateral stenosis.
Five new nickel(II) complexes have been synthesised with an NNO donor tridentate aroylhydrazone (HFPB) employing the chloride, nitrate, acetate and perchlorate salts, and all the complexes are physiochemically characterized. Elemental analyses suggested stoichiometries as Ni(FPB)(NO)]·2HO (1), [Ni(HFPB)(FPB)]Cl (2), [Ni(FPB)(OAc)(DMF)] (3), [Ni(FPB)(ClO)]·DMF (4), [Ni(FPB)] (5). Aroylhydrazone is found coordinating in deprotonated iminolate form in four of the complexes (1, 3, 4, 5) however in one case (complex 2), two aroylhydrazone moieties are binding to the metal centre in the neutral and anionic forms.

Patients with background chronic pulmonary inflammations such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) are likely to be infected with this virus. Of note, there is an argument that COVID-19 can remain with serious complications like fibrosis or other pathological changes in the pulmonary tissue of patients with chronic diseases.

In this study, Schiff base compounds (1-5) were synthesized by the reaction of 5-amino-1,10-phenanthroline with various aldehydes. The molecular structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR, H/C NMR and mass spectroscopic methods. Single crystals of 1 were obtained and their molecular structures in crystalline form were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction study.

Changes in these structures may affect articulation and phonation, negatively affecting the quality of the voice. Positive airway pressure (PAP) treatment reduces the volume of the root of the tongue, dissolves the edema in the upper respiratory tract, increases the posterior pharyngeal area, and positively changes the quality of the voice.

Enhanced chronic inflammation and pathological remodeling are the main consequences of COPD, leading to decreased life span. Histological and molecular investigations revealed that prominent immune cell infiltration and release of several cytokines contribute to progressive chronic remodeling.

Objective: To investigate factors that may have an effect on recurrence by retrospectively analysing the data of patients who were followed up and treated for idiopathic granulomatous mastitis in this clinic.
Study Design: Analytic study.
Place And Duration Of Study: Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Baskent University, Konya and Adana Practice and Research Hospitals between January 2010 and January 2021.
New dyes were developed and produced utilizing distinct electron donors (phenothiazine and dibenzofuran), a π-spacer, and an electron acceptor of cyanoacetohydrazide, and their structures were studied using FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy. Following the synthesis of dye molecules, the photophysical and photovoltaic characteristics were investigated using experimental and theoretical methods. The photosensitizers have been exposed to electrochemical and optical property experiments in order to study their absorption performance and also molecular orbital energies.

Our aim was to present our experience gained by evaluating the surgical approaches we have used in extratemporal and intratemporal facial nerve injuries and their long-term results, also to contribute to the consensus that will be formed on this subject.
Materials And Methods: Thirteen patients among 24 patients who underwent surgery with a diagnosis of traumatic facial paralysis were evaluated in this study.
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the correction rate in Cobb angle and the improvement in quality of life profile in terms of Scoliosis Research Society (SRS)-22 values.
Patients And Methods: Between January 2007 and December 2013, posterior instrumentation and fusion was performed to 30 patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). Patients were grouped according to their improvement rate in Cobb angles after surgery.
Objectives: Following endotracheal intubation (ETI), voice changes can be observed quite frequently. Considering that the pressure that occurs increases as the duration of anesthesia with ETI increases, with the aim to contribute to literature, we realized objective acoustic analysis by grouping patients according to the length of surgical periods. We wanted to investigate both the impact of endotracheal intubation on the voice and how long this impact lasted by performing voice analyzes on the preoperative, postoperative first day and postoperative fifth day.
