The Analgesic Properties of a Music Intervention in the Postanesthesia Care Unit.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine whether a combined music pharmacological intervention was an effective multimodal approach to reduce adult pain in the postanesthesia care unit (PACU).

Design: A prospective, randomized control trial study.

Methods: Participants were recruited in the preoperative holding area on the day of surgery by the principal investigators.

Background: Burnout among nurses is associated with lower patient satisfaction, yet few system-level solutions have been identified to improve outcomes.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between nurse burnout and patient satisfaction and determine whether work environments are associated with these outcomes.

Methods: This study was a cross-sectional analysis of 463 hospitals in 4 states.
