Prior research has examined ARC prevalence in the presence of sepsis, traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and intracranial hemorrhage. However, to our knowledge, no studies have examined whether this phenomenon occurs in patients suffering from an acute ischemic stroke (AIS).
