BackgroundStorage pool deficiency (SPD) is a rare bleeding disorder characterized by reduction in the number of delta granules within platelets, interfering with hemostasis. Current literature lacks well-designed studies from which to draw concrete conclusions regarding pre-procedural management of bleeding complications. The purpose of this study is to describe bleeding and safety outcomes of SPD patients receiving either pre-procedural platelet transfusions or platelet-sparing regimens.

Purpose: Guidelines have differing recommendations for aspirin use in patients with an indication for anticoagulation. Background: Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors have been shown to lower atherogenic lipid markers in patients with statin intolerance; however, external validity of these findings is unclear in patients with self-reported statin intolerance.
