Use of endoscopic submucosal dissection or full-thickness resection device to treat residual colorectal neoplasia after endoscopic resection: a multicenter historical cohort study.

INTRODUCTION : Residual colorectal neoplasia (RCN) after previous endoscopic mucosal resection is a frequent challenge. Different management techniques are feasible including endoscopic full-thickness resection using the full-thickness resection device (FTRD) system and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). We aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of these two techniques for the treatment of such lesions.

Complete endoscopic sphincterotomy with vs. without large-balloon dilation for the removal of large bile duct stones: randomized multicenter study.

 Endoscopic sphincterotomy plus large-balloon dilation (ES-LBD) has been reported as an alternative to endoscopic sphincterotomy for the removal of bile duct stones. This multicenter study compared complete endoscopic sphincterotomy with vs. without large-balloon dilation for the removal of large bile duct stones.

A European survey of perendoscopic treatment of biliary complications in patients with alveolar echinococcosis.

Background: Biliary complications represent a turning point in the course of Alveolar Echinococcosis (AE). We conducted a European survey to collect data on the current usage and results of perendoscopic interventions (PEIs) for their treatment.

Methods: Patient's characteristics and follow-up until January 31st, 2015 were recorded using an online questionnaire.

Prevalence of esophageal squamous papilloma (ESP) and associated cancer in northeastern France.

Background And Study Aims: Esophageal squamous papilloma (ESP) is a rare lesion. The aims of this study were to assess the prevalence of ESP in northeastern France and the risk of associated squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

Patients And Methods: The charts of 78 patients who were diagnosed with ESP between January 2005 and February 2013 at three hospitals in northeastern France were reviewed.

[Compared azathioprine efficacy in ulcerative colitis and in Crohn's disease].

Aim: To compare the 6-month efficacy and tolerance of azathioprine in 68 patients with steroid-resistant or steroid-dependent chronic ulcerative colitis (n=30) or Crohn's disease (n=38).

Methods: Clinical remission was defined as a Crohn's Disease Activity Index<150 for Crohn's disease and number of non-bloody stools<=3/day for ulcerative colitis, associated with prednisone requirement<=10 mg/day.

Results: Seventy-three per cent of patients with ulcerative colitis had distal or left-sided colitis and 84% of patients with Crohn's disease had pancolitis.
