Purpose: To report the benign seven year follow-up on a free-floating anterior chamber epithelial inclusion cyst that did not require treatment.
Design: Retrospective observational case report.
Methods: Seven years of clinical observation of a patient who had radial keratotomy in 1998.
Objective: The purpose of this case series was to present an overview of the nature and frequency of ocular complications in the Department of Defense (DoD) Smallpox Vaccination Program.
Design: Retrospective, noncomparative case series.
Participants: The authors retrospectively evaluated data collected on individuals with an ophthalmologic complaint after receiving smallpox vaccination or after contact with a recently immunized individual.
Purpose: To evaluate the short-term therapeutic value of soft contact lenses in patients with keratoprosthesis.
Methods: Nineteen patients with a collar button-shaped keratoprosthesis were fitted with a soft contract lens and evaluated for the protective effect on the surrounding cornea.
Results: The lenses were found to be highly protective against evaporative damage to the corneal surface around the device.
