It's better to be lucky … successful management of an acute endobronchial tumour embolism in the ICU: a case report and review of the literature.

Endobronchial tumour embolism is a rare cause of acute central airway obstruction. It is primarily reported during pneumonectomy, and the outcome is frequently fatal. Successful management requires the urgent removal of tumour with rigid or flexible bronchoscopy.

Adverse reactions to first-line antituberculosis drugs.

Introduction: Tuberculosis continues to be a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Currently available drugs are effective for treatment of the disease or latent infection, but may cause serious adverse effects.

Methods: The authors reviewed the literature for side effects of five first-line antituberculous medications (isoniazid, rifampin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol and streptomycin).
