Pulmonary amyloidosis is an extremely rare disease, often detected incidentally because of its asymptomatic nature and potential to result in fatal outcomes. In this study, we aimed to present the clinical and radiological features of patients diagnosed with pulmonary amyloidosis by biopsy. This descriptive study included 21 patients with pathologically diagnosed pulmonary amyloidosis.

Aim: The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between anemia and basic and instrumental activities of daily living in older male patients.

Methods: A total of 223 older males attending one geriatric outpatient clinic were included in this cross-sectional study. Anemia was defined as a hemoglobin level below 13 g/dL.

A qualitative study on asthma management experiences of Turkish community pharmacists.

Introduction: Asthma is seen in more than 4 million people in Turkey. Numerous studies have shown the beneficial effects of pharmacist interventions on medication adherence and therapeutic outcomes. The aim of this study was to gain insight into the current situation by examining the experiences of Turkish community pharmacists in relation to the counseling and referral of asthma patients, the responsibilities of pharmacists and the recommendations made by pharmacists to improve asthma management.

Background: We aimed to investigate the contribution of serum IgG testing to the history of exposure in the diagnosis of fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis.

Foreign-born Counselor Educators: Strengths, Challenges, and Areas of Support.

This article features strengths and challenges indicated by foreign-born counselor educators in programs accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. To gain a deeper understanding of this topic, we utilized a convergent parallel mixed methods design with merged quantitative and qualitative findings. Quantitative results indicated that foreign-born faculty (FBF) experienced more strengths in the personal, spiritual, and health domains while facing more challenges in the social, political, and financial domains.

Comparison of Splenectomy and Eltrombopag Treatment in the Second-Line Treatment of Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura.

Objective: Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an acquired autoimmune disease characterized by isolated thrombocytopenia. While first-line treatments focus on inhibiting autoantibodies and platelet destruction, second- and third-line treatments include splenectomy and thrombopoietin receptor agonists.
