Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) induced by war and conflict can impact the cognitive functions of both traumatized veterans and their spouses. This qualitative study explores the experiences of veterans diagnosed with PTSD and their spouses, focusing on the challenges in their cognitive functions, using a phenomenological approach. In-depth interviews were conducted with 42 participants, including 21 veterans and 21 spouses of veterans diagnosed with PTSD.

Its awareness is lower than that of other cardiovascular diseases, both in the general population and among patients with heart failure (HF). This study aimed to establish the current level of knowledge about HF in patients with HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF) in Türkiye.

Methods: We studied a total of 39 women including 13 MTLE, 13 SCZ, and 13 healthy individuals (HC). A neuropsychological test battery (NPT) was administered and scored by an experienced neuropsychologist, and NeuroQuant (CorTechs Labs Inc.
Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most prevalent cardiac arrhythmia worldwide and is associated with an increased risk of thromboembolism, ischemic stroke, impaired quality of life, and mortality. The latest research that shows the prevalence and incidence of AF patients in Türkiye was the Turkish Adults' Heart Disease and Risk Factors study, which included 3,450 patients and collected data until 2006/07.The Turkish Real Life Atrial Fibrillation in Clinical Practice (TRAFFIC) study is planned to present current prevalence data, reveal the reflection of new treatment and risk approaches in our country, and develop new prediction models in terms of outcomes.

Objective: In the context of coronary artery disease (CAD) pathogenesis, inflammation has emerged as a critical player. This study investigates the potential of the Neutrophil-to-Albumin Ratio (NAR) as a novel biomarker for assessing CAD severity and extension in patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction (AMI) without ST-segment elevation.
Patients And Methods: We conducted a comprehensive analysis of consecutive patient records (n = 211) from a single center, focusing on individuals diagnosed with non-ST elevation AMI.
Objective: This study aimed to demonstrate whether fullerenol C60, sevoflurane anesthesia, or a combination of both had protective effects on the liver and kidneys in lower extremity ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) in mice with streptozocin-induced diabetes.
Methods: A total of 46 Swiss albino mice were divided into six groups as follows: control group (group C, n=7), diabetes group (group D, n=7), diabetes-ischemia/reperfusion (group DIR, n=8), diabetes-ischemia/reperfusion-fullerenol C60 (group DIR-FC60, n=8), diabetes-ischemia/reperfusion-sevoflurane (group DIR-S, n=8), and the diabetes-ischemia/reperfusion-fullerenol C60-sevoflurane (group DIR-S-FC60, n=8). Fullerenol C60 (100mg/kg) was administered intraperitoneally 30 min before the ischemia-reperfusion procedure to the fullerenol groups (DIR-FC60 and DIR-S-FC60).

Introduction: The aim of this study is to examine in depth the experiences of Turkish veterans diagnosed with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and their spouses in the dimension of affective development in the light of their trauma experiences with a qualitative design and phenomenological approach.
Methods: The study group of the research consisted of 21 veterans diagnosed with PTSD and accepted as veterans, and the spouses of the 21 veterans. The data of the study were collected through in-depth interviews with the participants used a semi-structured interview form (Appendıx).
Aim: This study aims to determine the effects of perceived organizational support on attitudes toward medical errors in surgical nurses.
Background: Nurses exhibit high performance in a work environment that supports, satisfies, and motivates them. Organizational support is one of the factors affecting the work environments of nurses.
Artemisinin (ARS) is well known as an effective agent in the treatment of malaria through the rapid elimination of Plasmodium falciparum parasites. This study aims to investigate the effect of ARS in treating adnexal torsion, one of the most common gynecological surgical emergencies. ARS was administered intraperitoneally once 30 min before unilateral ovarian torsion in two different doses (10 mg/kg vs.

These risks are among the factors affecting the marital satisfaction of military families.
Materials And Methods: Our study population consists of 6 military spouses selected by the maximum sampling method, which the researchers reached using their resources.
To compare the effectiveness of thromboembolic risk scores in determining in-hospital events of COVID-19 patients. This retrospective study included a total of 410 consecutive COVID-19 patients. Scores including CHADS-VASc-HS (congestive heart failure, hypertension, age, diabetes mellitus, stroke/transient ischemic attack, vascular disease, sex, hyperlipidemia, smoking); modified RCHADS-VASc (CHADS-VASc plus renal function), m-ATRIA (modified Anticoagulation and Risk Factors in Atrial Fibrillation score), ATRIA-HSV (ATRIA plus hyperlipidemia, smoking and vascular disease) and modified ATRIA-HSV were calculated.

The purpose of this study was to compare two deep learning methods that are convolutional neural network (CNN) and long short-term memory (LSTM) to detect the separated endodontic instruments on dental radiographs.
Methods: Panoramic radiographs from the hospital archive were retrospectively evaluated by two dentists.
Background: This study aimed to assess the safety and tolerability of nebivolol in hypertensive patients with coronary artery disease and left ventricular ejection fraction ≥ 40% in a Turkish cohort.
Methods: A total of 1015 hypertensive patients and coronary artery disease with left ventricular ejection fraction ≥ 40% were analyzed from 29 different centers in Turkey. Primary outcomes were the mean change in blood pressure and heart rate.
Background: The use of an Impella pump catheter has advanced substantially in the last few years due to the simple insertion procedure and smaller device size. However, its use is still associated with some risks and complications. Here, we report a device fracture as a rare complication that occurred during the device extraction a few days after the initial insertion.

Currently, there is an insufficient risk prediction of fatal arrhythmias in patients at risk. In this study, we assessed the prognostic role of baseline electrocardiogram (ECG) in WCD patients.

Sleep is an important modulator of cardiovascular function and is recognized to play an important role in the pathogenesis and progression of cardiovascular disease. However, results of the studies investigating the relationship between sleep complaints and cardiovascular outcomes are still controversial. This study aimed to investigate the associations of sleep duration and sleep quality with Framingham 10-year hard coronary heart disease (CHD) risk score in Turkish adults.

Metabolic syndrome (MetS), one of the most researched topics in recent years, is a metabolic disorder that presents with increased inactivity and has increasing prevalence in the developing world where many ready-made foods are consumed. This research aimed to investigate the protective effect of exercise and quercetin administration in a rat model of MetS induced by fructose. Forty-two male rats were divided into seven groups ( = 6): control (C), fructose (F), exercise (E), quercetin (Q), fructose+exercise (F+E), fructose+quercetin (F+Q), and fructose+quercetin+exercise (F+Q+E).

Acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) is one of the most used medications worldwide. The antithrombotic agent acts mainly through inhibition of cyclooxygenase-1 and consequently thromboxane A synthesis, causing an irreversible suppression of platelet function. Despite of its proven benefit in the treatment and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic diseases, its use for the primary prevention remains controversial due to an unclear balance between the benefits and risks of aspirin.

Various catheters are available for the examination; the most common and safest is the use of a Swan-Ganz catheter. The complete examination includes probing of the right atrium, right ventricle, pulmonary artery and pulmonary capillary bed.
