Background: SGN-B7H4V is a novel investigational vedotin antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) comprising a B7-H4-directed human monoclonal antibody conjugated to the cytotoxic payload monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) via a protease-cleavable maleimidocaproyl valine citrulline (mc-vc) linker. This vedotin linker-payload system has been clinically validated in multiple Food and Drug Administration approved agents including brentuximab vedotin, enfortumab vedotin, and tisotumab vedotin. B7-H4 is an immune checkpoint ligand with elevated expression on a variety of solid tumors, including breast, ovarian, and endometrial tumors, and limited normal tissue expression.

A series of different hybrid systems with systematic variation of the alkyl chain length on both positions, the alkanethiol SAM and the peripheral substituents of the ZnPc derivative, was prepared and studied in the photooxidation of diphenylisobenzofuran (DPBF). An enhancement by nearly one order of magnitude was observed for the photosensitized singlet oxygen (O) generation of the hybrid systems compared to the same amount of ZnPc in solution caused by the interaction of the npAu surface plasmon resonance and the excited state of the immobilized sensitizer.

Background: Despite the undeniable benefits, breastfeeding in public has led in the past to controversies that gained a lot of media coverage. For this reason, the attitudes of the general population towards breastfeeding in public and the experiences of mothers who breastfeed in public were examined.
Objective: The objectives were to collect current data on the perception and acceptance of breastfeeding in public.
Immediate hypersensitivity reactions are induced by the interaction of allergens with specific IgE antibodies bound FcεRI to mast cells and basophils. While these specific IgE antibodies are needed to trigger such reactions, not all individuals harboring IgE exhibit symptoms of allergy. The lack of responsiveness seen in some subjects correlates with the presence of IgG antibodies of the same specificity.

Objective: This study sought to describe safety and efficiency outcomes for patients undergoing procedures at the Women's Health Centre, an outpatient gynaecological surgical centre in Saskatoon, SK.
Methods: A retrospective chart review of surgical outpatient health records was conducted for the period of July 2014 to June 2015. Data were abstracted using a standardized data form for patient admissions during the study period.
Objective: To provide an update of the definition, epidemiology, clinical presentation, investigation, treatment, and prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections in women.
Options: Continuous antibiotic prophylaxis, post-coital antibiotic prophylaxis, and acute self-treatment are all efficient alternatives to prevent recurrent urinary tract infection. Vaginal estrogen and cranberry juice can also be effective prophylaxis alternatives.
