Alkaptonuria or Ochronosis is an autosomal recessive congenital metabolic error due to absence of enzyme homogentisic acid oxidase. Recently, we had an opportunity to diagnose this condition in one of our patients. An old aged man developed a pathological fracture of femur after a trivial fall at home.

Sebaceous lymphadenoma is a rare primary tumour of the salivary gland, benign in nature arising from differentiated Sebaceous glands and cells in the salivary gland. Most of the tumours are seen in the parotid gland and very rarely in the submandibular gland. Herein a case of sebaceous lymphadenoma is reported in a 45 years old female with a swelling in the submandibular region.

Adequate control of hyperlipidemia is of paramount importance for prevention of vascular events. Statins and fibrates are well established treatments for hyperlipidemia. Combination therapy with a statin and fibrate offers significant therapeutic advantage for the treatment of severe or refractory mixed hyperlipidemia.

A 12-year-old male child suffering from pain, redness, blurring and watering of right eye since six months was diagnosed as suffering from nodular episcleritis probably tuberculosis. Diagnosis was supported by the additional finding of enlarged cervical lymph node found on aspiration cytology. Complete resolution occurred after anti-tuberculosis therapy.
