The bibliometric and altmetric analysis of chronic traumatic encephalopathy research: how great is the impact?

Background: The study of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) has received great attention from academia and the general public. This study aims to analyze the research productivity on CTE and investigate the most discussed articles in academia and the general public by conducting bibliometric and altmetric analyses.

Methods: Data of articles were obtained from the Web of Science Core Databases and Altmetric Explore.

Bedaquiline Resistance and Molecular Characterization of Rifampicin-Resistant Isolates in Zhejiang, China.

Purpose: This study aimed to determine the prevalence and molecular characterization of bedaquiline (BDQ) resistance among rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (RR-TB) isolates collected from Zhejiang, China.

Patients And Methods: A total of 245 RR-TB isolates were collected from 19 municipal TB hospitals in Zhejiang province, China between January and December 2021. Microplate assays were used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of BDQ.

[Occurrence and exposure assessment of fumonisins from grains and grain products in Zhejiang Province in 2018-2019].

Objective: To monitor fumonisins(FBs) in grains and grain products in Zhejiang and assess the exposure risks of FBs to local residents.

Methods: Liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry method was used to determine the occurrence of FBs in rice, millet, dried noodles, instant noodles, and maize grains, and food frequency questionnaires were used to collect the food consumption data of Zhejiang population. Then, the simple probability distribution model was used to assess the exposure risk.

Background: Bedaquiline (BDQ) has been designated as a Group A drug by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the management of multi-drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB). This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of BDQ-containing regimens for the treatment of patients with pulmonary TB.

Effects of preoperative carbohydrate loading on recovery after elective surgery: A systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Background: Preoperative carbohydrate loading is an important element of the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) paradigm in adult patients undergoing elective surgery. However, preoperative carbohydrate loading remains controversial in terms of improvement in postoperative outcomes and safety. We conducted a Bayesian network meta-analysis to evaluate the effects and safety of different doses of preoperative carbohydrates administrated in adult patients after elective surgery.

Occurrence and Exposure Assessment of Deoxynivalenol and Its Acetylated Derivatives from Grains and Grain Products in Zhejiang Province, China (2017-2020).

Deoxynivalenol (DON) together with its acetylated derivatives cause detrimental effects on human health, and the purpose of this study was to assess the prevalence of DON and its acetylated derivatives from grains and grain products in Zhejiang province, China, and to assess the risk of DON and its acetylated derivatives due to multiple consumptions of grains and grain products among the Zhejiang population. Food samples numbering 713 were collected, and the LC-MS/MS method was used to determine the toxins. The levels of toxins from grains and grain products were relatively low: DON was the toxin at the highest levels.

Association Between ABCA1 Gene Polymorphisms and the Risk of Hypertension in the Chinese Han Population.

Background: Hypertension is rising as a major public health burden around the world. This study explored the association between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-Binding Cassette Subfamily A1 (ABCA1) gene and hypertension among Chinese Han adults.

Method: A total of 2,296 Han Chinese in southeast China were recruited for this study.
