Two three-dimensional (3D) Cd coordination polymers, namely poly[[di-μ-aqua-diaquabis{μ-4,4',4''-[benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(oxy)]tribenzoato}tricadmium(II)] dihydrate], {[Cd(CHO)(HO)]·2HO}, (I), and poly[[aqua{μ-4,4',4''-[benzene-1,3,5-triyltris(oxy)]tribenzoato}(μ-formato)[μ-1,1'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(1H-imidazole)]dicadmium(II)] dihydrate], {[Cd(CHO)(CHN)(HCOO)(HO)]·2HO}, (II), have been hydrothermally synthesized from the reaction system containing Cd(NO)·4HO and the flexible tripodal ligand 1,3,5-tris(4-carboxyphenoxy)benzene (Htcpb) via tuning of the auxiliary ligand. Both complexes have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, elemental analysis, IR spectra, powder X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. Complex (I) is a 3D framework constructed from trinuclear structural units and tcpb ligands in a μ-coordination mode.

Nanosized Co-Cr-V alloy powders were synthesized via coprecipitation method. Effects of precipitants ((NH₄)₂C₂O₄·H₂O and Na₂CO₃) and pH were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Zeta potential analyzer, thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC), inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Co-Cr-V alloy powders were consisted of major face-centered cubic Co (fcc Co) and minor hexagonal close-packed Co (hcp Co).
