Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) is a rare inflammatory breast disease that can be clinically and radiologically mistaken for carcinoma. Although its etiology remains uncertain, potential associations with pregnancy, lactation, hormonal imbalances, autoimmunity, smoking, and various microorganisms have been suggested.
