Exploring the Impact of Structural Modifications of Phenothiazine-Based Novel Compounds for Organic Solar Cells: DFT Investigations.

This paper explores a novel group of D-π-A configurations that has been specifically created for organic solar cell applications. In these material compounds, the phenothiazine, the furan, and two derivatives of the thienyl-fused IC group act as the donor, the π-conjugated spacer, and the end-group acceptors, respectively. We assess the impact of substituents by introducing bromine atoms at two potential substitution sites on each end-group acceptor (EG1 and EG2).

Measurement of radioactive concentration in different foodstuffs consumed in Jazan region.

This study is concerned with measuring and analyzing all the parameters that affect the increase of radioactive forcing values within foodstuffs. Radon gas and radioactive doses of various foodstuffs collected from the markets of the Jazan region were measured using the nuclear track detector (CR-39). The results showed that agricultural soils and food processing methods influence increasing the concentration of radon gas.

Human Risk Due to Radon and Heavy Metals in Soil.

Background: We investigated the human risk due to radon and heavy metals (HM) in soil.

Methods: Samples were collected in 2017 from 10 representative geographical locations at Jazan region of southwestern Saudi Arabia and analyzed for elements (Al, Ca, Cu, Ni, Sr Fe, Mg, B, Co, Cr, V, Zn, Mn, Ba, Cd, and Pb). Elements were measured using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES).
