Xanthogranulomas are considered rare tumors, with their sellar and non-sellar frequency ranging from 1.6 to 7% among intracranial lesions, and described as a separate entity by the World Health Organization in 2000. The diagnosis of sellar xanthogranulomas is challenging, given their uncertain origin and clinical course.

As being a recent infection, the evidence that supports the best practices for the management of the infection during pregnancy is limited, and most of the questions have not been completely solved yet. This publication offers general guidelines focused on decision-making people, managers, and health's teams related to pregnant women attention and newborn babies during COVID-19 pandemic.

Until 2015, very few countries had been able to meet the goals established in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), especially MDG 5 - improving maternal health. As of today, it is observed that maternal mortality rate is quite heterogeneous, with rates from 1 case per 100,000 live births in developed countries, to more than 100 cases per 100,000 live births in developing countries.

To date, most of the known risk loci for PsA are shared with Ps, and identifying disease-specific variation has proven very challenging. The objective of the present study was to identify genetic variation specific for PsA.

However, there is increasing evidence that the missing heritability in psoriasis could be explained by multiple genetic variants of low effect size from common genetic pathways.

Methods: A total of 835 patients with PsA and 1498 healthy controls were genotyped for CNVs using the Illumina HumanHap610 BeadChip genotyping platform.
Our objective is to present a series of 20 cases of children under 15 years operated on of intractable epilepsy in the last 12 years in Sanatorio Allende of Córdoba, based on medical records and follow up. Were included 8 patients with cortical dysplasias, 6 with tumors, 2 with Rasmüssen syndrome, 1 with mesial gliosis, 1 with porencephalic cyst, 1 with gliosis due to traumatic brain injury, and 1 with encephalitis history. Localization was temporal in 9 cases and extra-temporal in 11 cases (4 were frontal, 4 occipital, and 3 parietal).

We investigated the association of PsV and its main clinical subphenotypes with 32 loci having previous genome-wide evidence of association with PsV (P < 5e-8) or strong GWAS evidence (P < 5e-5 in discovery and P < 0.05 in replication sample) in a large cohort of PsV patients (n = 2005) and controls (n = 1497).

The purpose of the study was to validate and assess the sensitivity to change of a new questionnaire to measure HRQOL in patients with psoriasis (PSO-LIFE).
Methods: Observational, prospective, multicenter study performed in centers around Spain.
Background: Surgical excision is the preferred method of eradicating Bowen´s disease (BD). Photodynamic therapy (PDT) has been successfully used for treatment of actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, and BD.
Objective: Our aim was to evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of PDT for treatment of extensive BD.
We describe the case of an elderly female with total genital prolapse and superinfected uterine myasis. The successful treatment included mechanical extraction of the larvae, antibiotics, and ivermectin (this last one reported for the first time); along with the surgical correction of the prolapse.

The serological diagnosis of brucellosis in 33 animals was performed. The study included three goats that aborted in the last third of gestation and 15 goats that gave birth normally; samples of milk and vaginal exudate were subjected to bacteriological study.

Background: Recent prospective studies suggest that carriers of the 719Arg allele in KIF6 are at increased risk of clinical CAD compared with noncarriers.
Methods: The KIF6 Trp719Arg polymorphism (rs20455) was genotyped in 19 case-control studies of nonfatal CAD either as part of a genome-wide association study or in a formal attempt to replicate the initial positive reports.
A calcipotriol/hydrocortisone combination ointment has been developed for treating psoriasis on sensitive skin areas such as the face. The efficacy and safety of two calcipotriol/hydrocortisone dose combinations were compared with two concentrations of calcipotriol in the same ointment vehicle in patients with psoriasis on the face and body. Patients were randomised to receive 8 weeks once daily treatment with calcipotriol 25 mcg/g or 50 mcg/g, either alone or combined with hydrocortisone 10 mg/g.

Erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp (EPDS) is a rare inflammatory disease of unknown aetiology that usually occurs in the elderly. It is characterized by sterile pustules, chronic crusted erosions, cicatricial alopecia, and skin atrophy. The histopathology is nonspecific, and its pathophysiology remains undetermined, with various types of local trauma possibly acting as the triggering factor.

This 6-year longitudinal pilot study comprised 74 monthly samplings to determine the incidence of brucellosis and to quantify daily milk production. To determine the monthly incidence of brucellosis, an average of 346 Holstein cows was examined each month with the card and Rivanol tests.

It is commonly confused clinically and histopathologically with inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus and other acquired blaschkolinear dermatoses. The disease has a chronic and progressive course and is characterized by a poor response to almost all topical treatments and most systemic regimens. We report the first case of KLC in which there was a marked response in localized areas to photodynamic therapy (PDT) with methyl 5-aminolaevulinic acid (ALA).

The UV induces photoisomerization of trans-urocanic acid (tUCA) form to cis-urocanic acid (cUCA) and has been reported as an important mediator in the immunosuppression induced by UV. This immunomodulation has been recognized as an important factor related to skin cancer development.

Several techniques are available for its repair, including Bernard's technique. Since its first description in 1853, this technique has incorporated several small modifications, which we discuss.
